Tour de France 2019

Viviani punctured in the last kilometer, that explains a lot.

Viviani lost wasn't looking natural, I couldn't believe was just out of legs...if you are, you can't be in such good position at 300m to go

Serves him right for forcing Groenewegen out of Teunissen's wheel tbh

That happens in literaly every mass sprint, not sure if that's a valid argument for approving a mechnical problem.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Pretty sure it's a dick move to force someone out of a team-mate's wheel. There's a difference between forcing someone out of a team-mate's as opposed to some random wheel.

Really? That would make sprinting real easy if you could just sit on your teams train without fighting for it!
As long you're not endangering another rider (which Viviani absolutely was not) go for every wheel and advantage you can get! This is what separates the good sprinters from the best, the ability to place yourself at the crucial moment (see why Ewan keeps having high speeds but no wins, his positioning is not great).

I was more impressed by Calebs rear wheel in the finish, he had no weight over it and that wheel was bouncing wildly. He's a strong talent but needs to refine both his positioning and sprint style to be considered right amongst the best.

Tejay has abandoned.

I can't help but feel sad and laugh at the same time. Please Tejay, just focus on TT.

..and dont decide nothing after yesterday stage. Dont make same mistake year after year. Almost 10 years for now.

Easy rules:
3 week is what matters
yesterday 25% end don't fit for all riders.

2012. Wiggins took yellow on PDBF. Won the race easily.
2013. Froome wins and takes yellow on first mountain stage. Wins it easily.
2014. Froome crashes out. Nibali takes 2:30 on Contador on cobbles. Looked like we might get an awesome battle. Contador crashes out as Nibali wins the first mountain stage. Wins the Tour easily.
2015. Froome takes yellow on stage 6, wins the first mountain stage, wins the Tour easily. (No, Quintana was never a threat because he waited too long on stage 19)
2016. Froome wins the second mountain stage (Aspin on stage 7 was softpedaled) takes yellow, wins the Tour easily.
2017. Froome takes yellow on PDBF, wins the Tour easily. (The others wasted 2 chances, not attacking on Peyragudes stage and not attacking on stage 15 when Froome was behind after a mechanical)
2018. Thomas gains a minute by default in TTT. Wins second mountain stage (the one to Le Grand Bornand was softpedaled) and the Tour easily.

What makes you think this one will be any different?

Anyway, not planning to watch rest of the race. This is like wrestling, results easily predicted before the race, same team winning every time, and not even entertaining. Oh and the other so called GC contenders not making a single attack till the final 2-3 kms on every mountain stage, awfully designed mountain stages, almost as much TTT kms as ITT kms. This is not cycling.

My point is that if see Pinot or Alaphilippe fly faster up on the first hill top against Bernal, Quintana, Porte, Kruiswjik (specially when it is over 20%)..does not mean that they can do that also at 3rd. week.

Yeaah I know Sky-Ineos have took over lot from Lance-Postal. Always stronger team..always controlling stages. Always attacking at first mountain stages.
This is also reason why Giro keep on beating tour with fun.

p.s no one wins tour easily

I've been saying this for years now. He's been very good at TT's lately. Could be top 5 in the world if he focused on it. Maybe even medal in the WC. Instead he feigns being a GC contender and fails every time.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

To enjoy watching sport in general - It is always a good idea to turn the focus from who will win (overall) to the beauty in the details......That said agree that TDF (have been) more predictable regarding the overall GC winner, than other races in the past. Even more predictable that Sagan is unbeatable for green. (Hope he does it again Wink)

People jumping to conclusions after 1 Vosges stage. It was only 1100 metres above sea.... Totally different.

BTW. This years Tour so far is better than the Giro. Change my mind.

Anyway. Today Ala makes the see you in the douches and retakes yellow

I just assumed that Mollema would work for Porte and Ciccone
