i think pcm 2019 has more objects,at least in a city more buildings
and it stays a lot at loading especially at "barriers" and i forgot the other thing
i do believe has something more then pcm 2018,that's why runs slower or demand more resources

I agree that if you leave your riders at 70 effort that they will fall back, but that seems to be because of the high pace on the flat, not because of the wind.
I have had splits happening aswell at the end of a race, but it is because of a rolling terrain, a crash etc. but never because of crosswinds. The very few times I've had 20-30 crosswind and I put my whole team at the front of with 99 effort and form an echelon nothing really happens in the peloton other than that the pace goes up.
Have you actually experienced splits happening caused by crosswinds that resulted in a time gap on a flat stage? My point here also being that the splits that happen never actually creates a time gap at the finish.
I'm 100% talking about the wind and not an increased pace. Every time there is around 20-30 in wind i'm lucky if i even have one sprinter left to do a leadout, the rest is fallen off from protecting my main sprinter or suffered from one of the splits. Might be you are playing on a easy difficulty for you never experienced a split from sidewind. If you are experiencing it happening on hilly stages i would say that is way more likely a result of the pace increasing. Just today with the few races i had i experienced the peloton split in several groups from sidewind on completely flat stages and second group lost at least a minute.

Played a couple of stages last night and was pleasantly surprised.
The performance seems to be better, my old laptop struggled with 18 at times but seemed fine. Interface is better too
Had low expectations but it was good.....so far |

After the change how you see the route profile, you can not see when there are hilly with cobblestones. For example in E3 it is only at Kwaremont on the route profil you can see that there are cobblestonnes |

I've got a question, can someone explain how Satisfaction works in ProCyclist mode? (yes i've read the tool tip, i mean how the game actually calculates this)
Reason: Just completed my first season with my new pro, and i've ended with 16% satisfaction. At no point in this season have i managed to get it to go up, or even stay the same.
19yo climber, so MO69-73 HL68-70 TT64-68 through the season. Mid-level AVG in the squad, 4th best puncher, 5th best TT'er and best MO'er.
Bagged 7-8 GC top10's, 10+ stage top10's, 2 podiums and 1 one-day win. Plus 5th in NC ITT and 6th in NC RR.
Finished 34th in the CT Stangings, with more than double the points of the teams next best rider. And contract offers from a handful of PCT teams.
In other words, a strong season way above what the AI riders of the team or similar stat level achieved.
So i'm just confused why my Satisfaction has been so poor? Am i misunderstanding this mechanic, or is it a little bit bugged?

*sigh*
Ok so Satisfaction has to be bugged/broken. I can win Season Objectives and it still drops the next day. Top10 in the CT rankings, 5 wins and Top10 in about 75% of my races and it's still under 20% at the start of October.
Speaking of October, i can't get past 2nd October in ProCylist Season 2 at all. Game just hard crashes and closes itself. Tried loading a weekly save and same thing. Usually i can figure out what's causing PCM to crash but i'm stumped here...
And just to complete the complaining, as i said Top10 CT rankings, 5 wins and mostly in the Top10, MO76 HL75 AVG74, and i got ZERO contract offers in Season 2. None!
I feel that perhaps this might be effecting the game crash mentioned above but i can't be bothered to mess around in an editor to find out.
A full Impression/Review will come at some point, because there's a lot i've got to say about PCM19. The first one i've actually played since PCM15 and the last PCM i played at was PCM10 early last year, so there is a lot of change from then to 19 and a lot that isn't changed.
Want to do more time with Career before i do though.

Well, as i'm on a roll with PCM19 comments... How do i change the age of my rider in ProCyclist? This might be the dumbest question ever but... er... i can't find how to do this...
(note: i was going to ask an equally dumb question on how to edit a riders training schedule in Career, but eventually found out where to do this before promptly giving up with that utter mess of system)

I don't think you can change the age in this one. I'm pretty sure the tutorial even says you can, but it's been brought up in other places already and the answer is a resolute no, you can't.
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

My biggest problem with Pro Cyclist got to be captain hierarchy and how stupid the AI is in that aspect. I'm playing as a stage race specialist with stats in the high 70's but my team Hagen Berman Axeon can favor and assign everyone to ride for Joao Almeida in classic races even if he got Hill stats below 65. Even when he drops the rest of the team refuse to help me out. At least they should make a hierarchy based on stats and form for each races. Same shit happens in the World championships.

Because why check your tutorials/tool tips are actually correct? Honestly there's no excuse for this kind of mistake and the more i play with PCM19 the less impressed i get. Shiny surface, pretty rotten core

And this has been going on for years now. There's also stuff like still being able to chose the region your Pro Cyclist is from, even though there's no mention of regions anywhere else in the game anymore (unless I've missed it), or a button or text here and there that kinda lost its meaning. It's just painfully obvious how this is the result of years of patchwork. I don't know if it's a small team of devs doing the best they can with extremely limited resources, or just sloppy work. But at least with some of this, as you said, it's looking really bad.

Definitely putting this to one side until the next patch comes out and the main community DB's release. Let's hope by then i still feel motivated to pick it up again and play... but i've got plenty of good games sitting on Steam + Switch that work and feel good and complete now...

The next patch didn't even really fix anything...

Another unfinished PCM game... but they're aware
Patch Version 1.0.3.1:
Note: We’re aware that an issue cannot let you play after completing the 2nd Season on the Pro Cyclist Mode. Our team is currently hard at work on a separate patch that will fix it. We’re deeply sorry for the inconvenience this has on your game experience.

How do you guys build up your leaders form so that he tops when he's supposed to?
In my current save, I had Tirreno as first objective for Nibali and Giro as his main. Unfortunately, I did not manage to get him to peak for Tirreno meaning. Instead he peaked a bit later. Now that I am at the first stage of the Giro, his "Top form bar" is at the lowest.
I have plans to do Giro and Tour with him, so I quess he will be in top form around the Tour but tired from the Giro.
Anyway, I'm writing this post to get some tips on how to get your riders to top when supposed to. Is it possible to say how many races should your rider should race for topping at the Giro for an example? |

NEW PATCH
Patch Notes - Version 1.0.3.2
We've released a new patch for Pro Cycling Manager 2019, this small update should fix the issues with the Pro Cyclist Mode.
In short terms, you can now use your old saves with outside manipulations (see previous hotfix announcement).
Pro Cyclist Mode
Solving the issue which made the players unable to play Pro Cyclist Mode after the 2nd season.
Solving the crash at the end of seasons.
We want to thank you once again for your patience as we understand this wasn't easy for everyone.
In almost 2 weeks, this is what they only fix in the game? seems fair bruhs |
