Bernal, very easy attack at Tour de Suisse, now leads the GC 12 seconds ahead of Dennis. Tolhoek (how does one pronounce this name?) won the stage. Interesting to see Lennard Kamna finishing 13th.
I think it's something like Tolhook or Toolhook

Benoot, Kämna, Dennis - seemed to be more like a strong men day instead of one for the pure climbers
but hell, Bernal 2 levels over anybody else

First option. Short 'o' in the first syllable, then 'hoek' sounds almost the same as 'hook'. The 'oe' is a typically Dutch diphthong. |

Tim Merlier with a very impressive sprint win today, I've said it before he's fast but I didn't know he could do this
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

What to say about today's Tour de Suisse stage: Ineos must be drooling over Carthy, Dennis has transformed into a Dumoulin-esque rider, Betancur finishes 8th and will probrably do better than Quintana when he signs for Arkea and begins suffering from Barguil/Greipel syndrome. |

The improvement of Dennis climbing skills are incredible. he actually was the third best behind just Bernal and Pozzovivo (great TdS imo by Pozzo)

Progress for Dennis in the on off thing of him becoming a genuine GC rider he has going on. Hard to know quite how much though with a weak field and Bernal looking well within himself, plus varying degrees of fitness/fatigue with those that have come through the Giro.
Last climb today was “only” around 5.5wkg by all accounts for only 30 odd minutes so not super high level, even if it was the 3rd climb of the day in a short stage - I would happily climb a one off climb at this “only” speed
Definitely encouraging though and a big step in the right direction.

I think it’s the first time Sagan will run on Bora’s normal colours. |
