Carapaz takes it
Lopez Moreno/Yates/Zakarin/Nibali/Siakov/Jungels lose 16 seconds to Roglic

Yeah, very bad. No urgency at all from the team either. Don't think he can do much more, which implies a major injury.

It looked like it just stopped paying attention or something. No idea how that can happen that late in the race. He just kind of drifted over for no reason.

Always sad to see a major contender crippled like that, guess he won’t continue either way no hope left for a good GC.

no fractures for Dumoulin, unsure about continuing. he'll decide tomorrow if he's fit cause the knee is very swollen

He might just be better concentrating of the Tour. His achievement last season was amazing finishing second in both Giro and Tour and possibly had he just concentrated on one of them may have landed another GT, sadly he got no prizes for finishing second twice.

Logical decision, wasn’t worth forcing his knee and jeopardize further goals. |

Yes, surely try to get a podium in TdF will be better than get a stage win in Giro, he need to point straight to the yellow jersey now

Do you think Conti can keep a top10 placement till the end?

No, the time dif in GT are extreme when you compare top 5, with top 20
My guess is that he is a realistic top 20 rider or something, and that is normaly a time loss of between 30 min and 1 hour.
6 minutes do not matter much over 21 days, unless we are talking the very best.
NB: My feeling is that Masnada is more likely to finish close to top 10, very strong today.
