It was about time. Sadly Ineos instead of clear doping just decided to buy all the best talents on the planet with Halvorsen, Ganna, Sosa, Bernal, Sivakov,...

So it seems that Froome feels the press who've been asking him about the elephant in the room, have double standards.
It looks like the Ineos antivirus has sucessfully removed the passonplas.tic trojan. Froome.exe is ready to be launched again.

Ah, the old “other teams are sponsored by somewhat evil petrochemical companies too, so why are we doing anything wrong?”. Getting and defending that sponsorship for a team who, for all their faults, they and their riders have made money for environmentalism is pathetic and so is that deflection

It’s funny because Sky went full environmentalist some Tours ago (and I think iirc they rode with a green stripe in the 2011 TdF) |

Exactly, not 100% on what they did in the past but last year they used their "one WT race with an alternate kit per year" card on Sky - Ocean Rescue for TdF, and now this.

That ocean rescue was so disgusting, all of their non sold kits likely landed in the ocean anyway

Tbh, Froome isn't the sharpest tool, his answers and arguments are always blank and rather shortsigthed and non apologetic excuses. Probably a remnant of the bilz in his body lol

Ineos being in pro-cycling is just the tip of the World Tour iceberg - we have 3 teams with appaling HRI (Astana, Bahrain-Merida and UAE Emiraites), 2 teams sponsored by lgambling companies which are worse than the tobacco companies (FDJ, Lotto-Soudal), a team which nicknamed itseelf after infamous Nazi submarine tactic (Quick Step) and a team sponsored by pay-television/telecomunication monopolist (Movistar). Add Katusha (still sponsored by Russians), Jumbo-Visma (still descendents of the Rabobank machine) and Trek-Segafredo (the LA/Brynell connection) to the list and we have at leas 10 teams with something shady behind them past or present. The only 100% clean teams IMO are Bora, Dimension Data and Sunweb

But if the shady sponsors went away there would be no sport of cycling. All big companies have something that someone can moan about, be it what they do, how they affect the environment or how they treat their people. Stop moaning about bloody sponsors and watch the cycling.
Or would you rather the sponsors go away so then you can't watch the cycling? It's very easy for people to be "environmentalists" or "political activists" these days from behind their keyboards without actually doing anything other than moan and bitch and whinge.
What it really boils down to is Sky have found another sponsor to back them to dominate the Tour de France for the next 10 years.

Sunweb is using airplanes, bad for the environement. Dimention Data was founded when Apartheid was still happening in South Africa. Bora has Marcus Burghart, so clearly a link to T-Mobile.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

That's why Team Basso of the Basso DB is the most environmentally conscious of all teams.

All of their TUE's were printed on a recyclable sheets of paper

If that’s true it’s the cherry on top of the Moscon ‘reasons to dislike him’ layer cake. |

Since Froome will never be caught, I’ll reuse this gif from the Salbutamol finding on my most hated option (though not the most suited ):
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."
