I wouldn't vote for this, to count extra rider but not double points seems inconsistent. I think you would need folks who use extra rider to designate which one is the extra if that is the approach.
I preferred your original approach that counts everything. Bland race doesn't have to be a bad choice, it adds some strategy to think about when to use it - when you think everyone will score pretty well or when you think a lot of people will use extras. And I don't think creating more complexity in the scoring is worth it.

Thanks for the updates, good to be in first, if only just. Got lucky choosing Formolo, never thought he would finished second at LBL. Fear I may have used too many good riders but time will tell.
