"Julian Alaphilippe has won every one-day race he’s started this year except for the ones where Mathieu van der Poel was also riding, which were all won by Mathieu van der Poel" @CyclingAlmanack

Last 50 meters weren't fairest by Alaphilippe..I really didn't like that, despite Fuglsang wasn't likely able to overpass him

Considering Fuglsang didn't really complain about it as much as he could have, probably fair to say Alaphillipe would have still had it. Feel like it would have been closer though if he hadn't shut the door quite so dramatically on Fuglsang's chances of going through up the outside near the barriers.

Valverde has been having a quiet season, but missing the top in the Flèche is bonkers. The rainbow jersey curse is real you guys! It has even managed to take Alejandro to perform according to his age! Just give it back to Sagan, he needs a couple of stripes more to go back to his usual self.

Jalaphilippe finally doing all the things right after all those rotten years without any luck. To me, the rider of the year so far. There has to happen some crazy GT stuff to match him really. That is to say, until VDP becomes world champion on the road and does a full Vos.

Saw a comment on cyclingnews which made me laugh: "His biggest sting since Operacion Puerto"
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

So, guys, time for Liège.
It's raining and it's 10ºC, so it's unlikely bees will feature so prominently in the results.
The route, as you know, has been changed back to its original finish in Liège, removing the last couple of climbs in an attempt to make the race less speculative.
So, given that van der Poel is out, Alaphilippe or Fuglsang?

I could even see a guy like Matthews or Colbrelli win this.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Colbrelli’s not racing today but Matthews is a fair bet, though I think this finish will make riders attack from distance and break the peloton and they will probably make it hard for the Aussie. Some unpredictable winner or Kwiatkowski/Alaphilippe/Fuglsang. |

Really hope for Fuglsang to get his win that he so deserves! Would love another Madouas top 10

Seeing Fuglsang or Bardet win would be super cool, but another cool guy in Wellens is winning today.

Yeah, he didn't even make it to the live broadcast. Outsider Felline already abandoned as well.
