Julian fucked it very much. Van der Poel amazing.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Alaphillipe not only lost the chance to win but also finished behind Fuglsang outside the podium. Unbelievable scenes |

Simon Clarke finishes with second after following Van der Poel's wheel in the sprint and Jakob Fuglsang after all that ends up third on the podium.

Lets not forget MVDP rode since Bemelerberg in front of that group. Sprinted first and won. This is the most insane finish by a rider I ever seen. |

That was incredible.
Almost everybody (Matthieu included) made mistakes in that finish, maybe excepting Fuglsang who played it almost perfectly but was racing the wrong guys. imo Kwiat was the strongest and Clarke was the fastest, but those final kilometres from MVP were simply stunning. Shame Clarke messed up his chance to win, he was the fastest at the end but needed the first jump.
Madouas was the best also.

Can't say i loved that - too stupid not just to share 1 & 2.
Fuglesang sorta got a result as he was far from anyones favorite but Julian..o my God..he much be in such mental pain, hard to look at those that worked hard for him today.
Van der Poel won thats fine, but can hardly claim he was the best not to mention most clever today.

Julian was mad in the last 3 or 2kms that Jakob didn't wanted to help no more so the french reduced the pace too much....idiot...this is why the rest won 20 seconds so fast
Jacob played smart and attacked 2 times on climb,1 time on flat in the last 10kms...he had 0%chance vs Julian at sprinting
Lot of athletes are just plain stupid
The dude who finished 2nd in Roubaix was so dumb,he never attacked Gilbert and relayed like they were brothers until finish
It was caught on camera when julian made a sign to jakob to relay and julian did a soft punch on his bike, that was in the last 3 or 2kms

VdP is 100% going to be rider for World Tour team but which one - honestly I don't want him in the WT triangle of doom (Ineos, Bahrain and UAE)

He's got a contract until 2023.
Furthermore, I'd be surprised if he doesn't focus on the MTB Olympics next year.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Atrocious riding by the front pair to lose that one.

Thanks for pointing that out!
What I find most interesting about the startlist is that Di Data has the whole 2018 podium and will likely struggle to get a top5 this year.
This year's UAE in terms of no results. Win per million ratio is probably still.heavily skewed.towards UAE tho.
