What a freaking ride by Bettiol. It wasn't a very selective race, and he was the only one with the balls to go for it. Langeveld did a great job slowing the group at important moments too. So happy for them and EF.
Also, what a performance by Carlsberg - Danke Bank talent Kasper Asgreen. Think he could get a cobbles upgrade in man game?
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Best race of the year today. I think Stybar will win but I hope GVA wins. He deserves it
GVA wasnt The strongest on the Paterberg and Kwaremont . I expected he will be :/

Meh, this guy hugely disappointed me in last year's fantasy game and now he's a winner
Great ride by him, but disappointed by the lack of cooperation behind him. WT points have become too important.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I couldnt catch any racing this year since I live in Delhi, but really hoping I can tune in for Roubaix. GVA for another one!

I doubt it as he doesn't race cleverly enough and his team is too weak to really help him out but I do hope I'm wrong here as I'd love to see him win.
I don't think an in-form under the radar rider like Bettiol will win either as these type of riders will be watched after Flanders.
I'd say Sagan, Kristoff, Stybar and Jungels, Degenkolb, Naesen more likely to win. Vanmarcke's workout at Flanders last week will put him into good shape as well

Would love to see a "justice" win for a rider who has never won one of the big four races - thinking Trentin and Vanmarcke especially but also Naesen, Vandenbergh, Roelandts or even Haussler. Stybar wouldn't break that mould too much either in terms of never winning a monument and never one of the quadruple before this year either iirc.
So open and exciting this field, but I may go for a pick of Kristoff from a small group sprint in a similar way to Degenkolb 2015, getting some of the top guys out of the way in a split from mid-range and then getting into the final selection.

Other names to watch could be Sutterlin and Stuyven the former won't be expected and the latter not still on top form but my dark horse is probably going to be Politt.

Don't think any of the cobble specialist is strong enough to drop the others, yet there's many riders (like Degenkolb, Kristoff) they need to get rid of before the velodrome. Looking forward to this.

I can see a larger group arriving near the end and if it contains Kristoff and Degenkolb that will be bad news for the others. If this is the case, will we get a similar scenario to Ronde with an under the radar rider attacking? I said earlier that if this happens they won't let him get clear but that's easier said than done as nobody unless they have teammates will want to exert vital energy

So much time to form a break and now that we're about to hit the cobbles the groups up ahead include riders like Pollit, Trentin or Lampaert. Dangerous move if you ask me.

this move getting established, even in a slightly smaller form, would be a stunning set up for the race A nice amount of favourites and some likeable top 10 outsiders for whom this is a fantastic move.

Cloudy day and dusty Roubaix makes for a great combination.
Sagan looks cool as a cucumber today. van Avermaet too.
Declerq is ramming those sectors like a boss. Lampaert could be the QST guy for the day!
