Morning shows the day,
I hope Stage 1 doesn't show the rest of the way...

Ag, now that's what I call HECTIC! What a win, Roux still has it against the division's best, and what a sprint to give us our first ever win on the home soil of South Africa, as well as taking over yellow! GET IN Love it, wow I can't believe we got a win here, so unexpected Also means every major leader for our team has a stage win this year - excluding Stan but he can't count at things that need ACC
Thanks to Navardauskas for the primo leadout. And with Roux winning, and Kaisuluvao in the break, it's just like last season in every CT race <3

It was fun while it lasted
Surely Bystrom wasted himself covering those attacks and then it was enough that he didn't get dropped of the group. A shame that Levarlet was dropped so late to keep us in the Team standings fight without losing any time.
Also, very interesting those KoM points for Agostini, a rider that might be on the KoM hunt late in the race once Bystrom is out of the first spots in GC.
Congrats jandal for the win!

A better performance by JJ here, but he's still sitting too far back and not really doing anything. I wanna see aggression. Plus, Stuyven has finished with the group twice, but has done nothing to help him.
Hoping AKA can survive stage 3 tomorrow, but I highly doubt it. Still don't know what I was thinking bringing him here.

Anthony freakin Roux! Also this is looking pretty solid for Philips in GC terms.

You seem to have a lot more confidence in my team than I do at the moment.

I hope those 11 seconds that Pichon won on the bunch won't be important later on the race.
Tomorrow the TTT. I don't really know what to expect in terms of time loss. The only thing that matters is that Bystrom stays with the team until the end. We brought here Novak despite not being a good race for him just to give Sven a shot at a GC Top10, so hopefully he has a great day and avoid a massive time loss

Yup, a complete waste. AKA gets nothing and JJ chases for no reason to lose energy. Worst case scenario.

Well that was anything but a slow day! What a stage. Hamilton with the win and Pichon with a nice move to gain some time and a stage top 5!

Nice little result there from Cosnefroy! Don’t rate his chances of winning the Youth classification but he’s in a decent position now!

Not enough timegaps yet to think of a good result, just gotta hope TTT doesn't drop Siskevicius below 40th in GC, and then he can get back to Top 20 following that rough af Stage 5

Zero sixth in a TTT? In the PCT? A TTT not destroying the race? What is this blasphemy?

Roche, Ignatiev, Froome must be some kind of cheat code in a race like this.
Should be huge points for Fablok, though will be interesting to see them handle it on the upcoming stages. |
