Solid teamwork by Movistar and a super strong ride from Winner Anacona in Vuelta a San Juan. almost 4.5 years since he won anything.
That was a nice stage to watch.

Richie Porte after Woods lost the lead at the Herald Sun Tour:
"Obviously he didn't have the team there for him and also he sat on me the other day for the last kilometre, which is not nice. I don't feel any need there to try and win the race for him."
Love a good little squabble although it would be better if Sky didn't benefit. Haven't seen the stage where Woods won, so can't decide if Richie has a point or is whining. |

Other way around at the Trofeo de Tramuntana: Wellens beats Buchmann, Valverde third. I don't know how this is happening, but I'm enjoying it a lot

After two years of consistent level, perhaps 2019's the time for Buchmann to finally flourish.
Young Colombian Sergio Higuita also on fire this week, 6th, 12th and now 4th. He's already been signed by Vaughters for 2020. |

Im sure Buchmann will be stronger and stronger this and the comming seasons, wouldnt be surpriced to see him in top 5 or better at GT very soon.

With his cyclocross crash some weeks ago I did not expect him in tip top condition like this

Lutsenko wins stage 2 in Oman, brother Gorka also starts his Astana career with a GC win... the team is on fire, let's see if Miguel Angel Lopez can add another to the tally in Colombia.
EDIT: Just did it.

Is it only me who thinks that Quintana attacks seem again more powerful?
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

It's februari, I wouldn't draw too many conclusions yet.
Sosa would've won the race btw but some spectator made him crash on the final climb.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, rider stupidity it part of the race, it's the outside interference that annoys me.

What a brilliant start for Astana, yet again.
Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.
