Oh screw you Alarcon. Just ruining the KoM dream for me. Now i have no chance whatsoever to get even close to Puma even if i repeat one of those huge lucky races from last season :/
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Fantastic racing from Marquez Thanks for all the congratulations!
I am afraid this will make him attack less, so actually got to hope he looses time on the TT so he can attack again

Holy crap, so it seems to take getting your ass kicked for 11 stages in a GT for Eastman to figure out how to ride a bicycle again. Last two days have been fairly promising for him, just needs to keep it up over the rest of the mountains! Was really hoping to see him hang on for the win, but with how my team has done this year, a 4th place finish is terrific as well. Moving up from 48th overall to 15th overall in the last two days, and actually gaining a minute against the leaders.

Phinney Now that's a surprise! Don't see him winning now to be honest, but looks like a very thrilling fight.
Martin with a good TT from a rider of his standard. Dropping a bit in the GC, but that was to be expected. Still looks very good to challenge for a top 5.

Yup, that's not the best time trial Úran has ever ridden. Expected a bit more tbh, but at least there's a clear gap to eight in the GC with some possibilities to move up a place.

Wow, crazy Phinney didn't take the race lead back. And this German kid is really starting to get on my nerves. So close to a stage win for Tenorio.

Very surprising result! This TT single-handedly removed Phinney as my main competitor and replaced him with a flying Herklotz. Absolutely didn't expect to lose time to him today (guess it was the long downhill) and he has been very strong in the mountain stages as well so far.
Cool to enter the brutal final week in the leader jersey. This will definitely be a huge test for the team, but I'm sure the guys can handle it. Except for Teunissen; he's fucked.

I don't remember seeing Phinney underperform. Ever. Lots of surprises in this Vuelta! A thrilling final week should await us now. Intxausti doing is thing, but it's virtually impossible to climb from his 8th place. Maybe a breakaway tomorrow?

Nice little stage that. Martin looked pretty good, so happy about that. Just keep that up!

Holy cow, Marcos back in the KoM!
Will be difficult to keep him there though, haven't really seen him in a breakaway on a mountain stage.

Great to see we are keeping our record of coming out of the Vuelta with at least one stage win.
Calmejane is having quite a season indeed with 2 stage wins in very prestigious races. SotD, he's got to be worth at least one milion now, right?

Quite happy with how that messy sprint turned out. Nerz losing time isn't smart though, but it's very Nerz-esque.. Congrats to eBuddy, we all wanted Calmejane back then.
I'm not sad about missing out on 8 seconds since the points jersey classification looks very favorable to Herklotz now with most sprinters failing to score and Phinney/Madrazo losing points.
The key to that would have to be keeping breakaways from winning too many stages now, while simultaneously staying close to Madrazo throughout the rest of the race. The hilly stage could be crucial in pursuing that jersey.
For now, that's only a side quest though since the GC is still incredibly close up front. As stated before, we're not expecting to get any more than a podium out of this race, so the pressure shouldn't be too high if Herklotz can continue to handle the general situation in his first GT.
1'40 on Kritskiy, 1'56 on Tenorio and 2'46 on Martin are the important gaps.

Silvio strikes again! Congrats cio.
A really interesting finale with riders seeming to switch very rapidly from good moments to bad. Feared a bad result when Martin started to fade early, but then he recovered his legs and finished very good. Not the biggest gaps, but another very good performance from.

How happy I am for Cio I also think it’s a big problem that we have created a rider that can go straight from the database to win a GT in his first season as maxed. Oh well...
For us it’s dissapointing to see stage after stage without us trying a breakaway. Today was the final points for us scored in the race.
