Nothing major in the prologue.
Van Poppel where you'd expect him to be. Nothing too spectacular but good to see him getting involved.
Dombrowski already putting time into his big rivals is fantastic. Makes me dream already. Hopefully the team will support him better in the mountain stages.
Fantastic pace on the reports so far!

Lost the jersey as expected, but a bit unexpected that it turned out quite selective. Nice little shake and big congrats to ember on a nice win. Guldhammer is just a great rider, always performing quite good.
Happy with how Stake Laengen and Iturria rode as well. More of that please!

Annoying sprint stage, but stage 3 was a really good day for us. Seeing Machado attack 3 times and finish 2nd is superb. Hopefully that means he'll be active aggressor in hill stages to come.
Congrats SotD and ember! And thanks for the reports roturn!

Excellent stage by my team. Havibg two guys attempt to join the break is great and seeing Vosekalns hunt the KoM points is fantastic

Top 10 for both Bongiorno and Demare setting him up, a really good effort by both. Demare making up points he lost yesterday (3rd there even would've meant the jersey), while Bongiorno got a few seconds on similar riders.
Congrats Aker, Guldhammer surely loves these stages and he delivered impressively. And yet again, Evonik score a lot where they shouldn't.
Time to pray to the daily form gods for the MTT now, then we're back in Demare territory.

Not the best result for Morton, but good to see him actually racing/trying. Could have been worse, I guess.

Decent stage for my team. Hirt not losing any major time, while Vysna was surprisingly active and finished well above expected. Big congrats to ember, what a nice win by Guldhammer!

Absolutely brilliant! What a way to get our first win of the season
It's also our first ever leader's jersey in a GT, which makes it even more special. Was very tense to read the report towards the end there, as I feared Guldhammer and Machado would be caught, especially after having tried several attacks. Just incredible that he still managed to pull it off
Also a nice bonus to suddenly have a minute down to riders like Nibali, Hirt, Dekker, Henao and similar, as it should see him stay at least in touch with them also after the MTT.
Thank you for the report and also the pace they're coming with, roturn! Obviously I enjoyed this one more than the first two, in fact more than any report so far this season, from my team's perspective
Edit: And thank you for all your congratulations! I was too hyped after that win to even notice before I commented |

Far from ideal start for Alarcon, but disaster avoidet atleast.
Great win for a Guldhammer, congratz ember! Really nice to see the favourite deliver on S1 aswell with Wisni, proven the gamble was well worth

Exciting race so far, thank you roturn. Congratulations to member and Gustav for the great rides there. I'm happy to see Amador staying right in the middle without losing too much time. Another major victory is Dillier surviving to help us out in the TTT, it would have been a disaster if he hadn't. Looking forward to stage 4 and the TTT, I think Amador can gain some ground here.

Another podium for Dombrowski. It's not a stage win but it's enough to put him in pink which is great since he should be able to keep it until the TTT. A day in the points jersey isn't bad either.

Solid by Guldhammer, just where I would expect him to be seeing the riders placing in front and behind him. Now it's all about conserving energy before another time loss will come in the TTT, but with his win on stage 3, he should be with a chance at staying inside the top 10 also there, which would be huge.
Now over to Ciolek though. Stage 5 and stage 7 look good for him, while stage 6 should be much too difficult. Hopefully the team is up for the task, as a leadout similar to stage 2, this time with Ciolek following, and a stage win seems very realistic.
And well done Alarcon on the stage win. Thought the first part would be too flat for him to contest the stage win, but what a ride by him. Congratulations, dev! |

I had hoped for a bit more here from Lecuisinier. Dropping 4 spots seems a bit hard... Still close to riders like Morton and closing in on Guldhammer is OK. Those are the riders we need to fight with if a 5-7th place should be possible. Maybe even Machado if we are really lucky.

A shame for Schleck and SN to miss out on the win on Mt. Vesuvio by just 3 seconds

I had the slight hope Machado could fend off the 84s and take a hold of pink for the next few days. It's a pleasing result nontheless and keeps the tone of a solid Giro so far for us.
Alarcon has announced himself, beware of him now! Congrats dev. Nice to see Morton live up to his stats for a change.
Avelino, do your thing now!

Thanks guys! We're on a run atm, loving it!
Nice way to strike back by Alarcon, putting his stamp on the race much earlier than I thought he would! That's one objective for the Giro already complete
I'm worried we will lose tons in the TTT though

Of course Morton does not podium this stage, that probably suits him better than other mountain stages.. No desaster, but boy, why not perform for a change?

Bongiorno about where he was expected to end up, Demare taking it veery easy
He better uses that extra energy in the upcoming days, these are the stages he attends the Giro for.
