The addition of Michal Kwiatkowski has the spotlight all on it's own, the Pole is set to be the team leader, not only in hills but possibly in mountain races aswell. He also has an amazing TT ability which fits perfectly in the team's philosofy. His amazing sprint will also be a major weapon in his arsenal, and he can even ride strong in the cobblestones.. IS THERE ANYTHING HE CAN'T DO?!?!?!?!
Although there were more steal attemps none was confirmed, at least not yet, and although the team's base remains very similar (but a little stronger) there are some names missing in here..
Petr Vakoc the main one, he will race for Szczecin - Zentiva this season, and Mitchel Docker will race for the Fox Sports - BikeNZ Cycling squad. Apart from those riders, Matthias Krizek and Rob Ruijgh did not renew with the team, as we are expecting a heap of new talent and quality to join in.

12 Departures from CarbonSports

Lars Boom
Tiago Machado
Jakob Steigmiller
Alexander Hier

This leaves us with 23 contracted riders and a remaining budget of 1995.

Ceramica Panaria - Autogrill - Cipollini
The team is happy to announce all sponsors signed a contract extension for the next season. However the teams bad result in the overall ICL world Tour classification all sponsors where on the same level as the board of the team. The team has let go some of it's older riders, signing some new ones including Manuel Torres who did extremely well in the u21 WC. Furthermore the team will have a development team just like in the first season of ICL. Sponsors for the second team haven't been announced yet.
The first team will show in 2019 the exact same jersey as in 2018
Currently the team has signed 19 riders from 4 different countries. The main leader of the squad will be the reigning Giro d'Italia champ Fabio Aru. Fabio will wear a custom WC jersey in 2019 (... more news to announced soon). He will be supported by Formolo and last years Giro young jersey winner Colombo.
Enrico Battaglin will be the second leader. He will probably get his chance in some hill classics.
The team is sad to announce the departures of both Modolo and Pirazzi, both in the team since the very first season. Also Niccolo Bonifazio leaves the team which is maybe the baddest news to announce.
Full squad on this moment

Time for a change? Well kind of: There are there scenarios, and which one we take depends on for whom of the pair we receive the better offer:
Sep Vanmarcke stays, Rigoberto Uran goes: In this scenario we are searching for both money and riders that could strengthen our cobbles squad. It's time to support Vanmarcke properly so that he can finally show why he is the best Cobbler in the ICL. We would sell a couple of assets to make him work properly then, with Uran as the holy grail with his palmares and awesome wage.
Sep Vanmarcke leaves, we receive mostly rider compensation: If we receive a decent leader, we are searching for a guy that does both sprinting and cobbling pretty well, looking for the likes of Degenkolb, Kristoff, Sagan, Phinney. Otherwise it would need another WT leader or World Class talent to make such deal possible.
Sep Vanmarcke leaves, we receive mostly money compensation: We may scrap the idea of scoring big time on cobbles. We'll search for a minor scoring cobbler instead and focus on strengthening our already given strengths like Stage Races and Hills. In this scenario also Rigoberto Uran would likely stay if not very early sold for a convincing offer.
Apart from that we need to make a little bit of cash, hence we are trying to turn our silverware into money. Hence you'll have the chance of signing awesome young guns like Lei (DT star alert!), Dimas and Ollero as well as development wonderkid Alves, who outscored Boileau 2 times in development points in a row. With Groenenwegen and Sarmiento also 2 classy CT leaders on great wages are on offer. |

No transfer or transfer discussion thread yet so just a short info here:
Every CarbonSports rider is available for the right price although the new rules make it much more difficult to trade for our jewels (Sagan/Kittel/world class talents) than i originally intended. Just PM me if you have any ideas for deals.

An important time of year as everyone scrambles around to make sure their squad is the best it possibly can be! We're no different, although obviously limited by our very strict focus.
This focus on Caribbean cycling means we have no real intentions to sell riders, not that we expect anyone really wants our ridershaving release Lobato and Henao our two stars.
That said, if we were to recieve an offer for Anders Newbury or Xavier Ela we would seriously consider it! Full stats for both riders can be found below. Ideally we'd like a rider swap, exchanging Newbury for a similar level rider from one of our focus. With Ela we'd offer him and some cash money for a rider from one of our focus nations.
As for our plans, we've got one rider marked up in the Free Agency we're gunning for 110%. So it will be a very quiet and simple window for Cool Runnings Warm Cycling, saving plenty of money for Research, Training and Scouting.

Filliers transfers list
Following riders are most likely to leave them team:
Tim Wellens - swap with a top talent
Arnaud Geromboux - cash
Daan Olivier - swap for 3x 100 wage riders
Pascal Ackermann - cash
Dieter Bouvry - swap with a top talent
Eduardo Gonzalez - cash
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Aviva Transfer Availability
We are happy with the team as it is, but all our riders except for Majka are theoretically available for a small-ish transfer fee or rider swap. If there's any interest, just send a PM.

KBC-Godiva have issued a press release denying that team manager Willie McRettin:
"has been permanently banned from the Brussels Grand for destroying an antique chandelier with a bottle of Glenfiddich or that he chased two Australian tourists across the lobby repeatedly berating them for being wee cowerin' english-loving <deleted> <deleteds>."
The press release went on to note that "the Brussels Grand ban was only for 3 months and that the tourists in question were from New Zealand" before stating that McRettin had "agreed, in conjunction with team sponsorship, that he would participate in a course of anger management classes."
It is believed that McRettin's outburst occurred when he spotted one of the Kiwi tourists was wearing a Filliers Mora branded fanny pack and was related to the news that Filliers Mora were selling off Belgian heroes Tim Wellens and Dieter Bouvry immediately after blocking McRettin's offers to those two riders. |

Van Avermaet may be sold, but it'll need a very good offer.
Intxausti and Vanbilsen will be sold for a decent offer.
Either of Parra or Frank will be sold. If replacements are brought in, they can both go.
Either of Brambilla or Meijers will be sold. If replacements are brought in, they can both go.
Will readily listen to offers for Vermote and Windischbauer.
The youngsters will need good offers to be sold. This is negotiable to some extent depending on transfer situation.
Degenkolb, Bauhaus, Svendsen and Honigh are not for sale.

Would be happy to do a deal but have a bad feeling that I can't afford anything you would accept. But let me know if you don't have richer buyers. |
