Congrats cio and knockout, what a nice race for both of you!
Not really that great race for my team. Nice breakaway attempts by Mosca and Polnicky, but the 13th is not really good enough, too bad about that time gap not given, congrats to eBuddy as well for Grosu's great sprint.
On the other way it is really worrying to see Vakoc doing this badly. He would be trained if I would keep him, but as a 80 HIL rider he is really doing so poorly, it hurts... Really sorry to see this, ember! At least Vesely had a decent sprint here...
Thanks for reports!

Well Weiss had a little bit of fun out there for us, but did it on the wrong stages. Otherwise pretty uneventful racing.

Solid race for me. Hurts to finish second so often but i guess im used to that already from the last few cobble seasons.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Pretty good last stage by Ginanni. 14th in final GC is around what I expected.

Good sprint by Grosu in the second stage and a fantastic one in the last stage to close down the gap and secure a very nice GC finish.
A bit sad to miss the podium by just one second, but 4th here for Grosu is definitely a fantastic result and not really something I was expecting to get not knowing how the final stage will play out.
Thanks for the reports!

I wanted to wait until I got home to read the report on the big screen, and boy was that wait worth it!
It turned out to be more selective than I expected, despite a bigger group getting s.t. in the end. MvS just slightly misplayed it in the run-in and paid for it on the final stretch. Demare seemed dead for a moment, but found enough energy and slipstream. More hill could avoid that uncertainty...
Commiserations to van Stayen, knockout surely found some solace in GvA's GC position and the fact that he won't have to face Demare for a couple of months now.
Above all points scored, it's a season goal achieved, with big implications for next year's transfers to hopefully keep this decent squad together, maaaaybe even add a certain piece. In particular this goal was a far stretch, which makes this even sweeter.
I think we're talking about 180pprd here for us, with great complimentary GC finishes by Felline and Arndt that also somehow gave us the teams classification. Felline seems way improved from last season, just in time?
Demare with three wins in 9 starts now plus this GC and green jersey looks to already have surpassed his 2017 points total in slightly above 1/4th of his race days, no words for his spring even despite the slight hiccup in MSR. This year's training certainly wasn't just for the novelty factor.
However, we gotta celebrate now because things will surely end differently on other days yet to come.
Thanks everyone who took some time to mention me and the team, but in particular ember needs to chill with the M word
"The cobbles" are just two races now, and this race alone has given us more points than Blythe scored in the entire last season. I rather worry that Kelderman doesn't find his punch and Herklotz feels the pressure, but I need a rankings update to get a good sense of the situation anyway.
I wouldn't mind 5th overall in the slightest, race results like these are where the real fun is at. Felt like a champions league winning goal today.
Thank you jandal for very exciting coverage of the sprints and the kilometres leading up to them, it was a very enjoyable read although I'm surely not unbiased.

Well, that was a race to forget for sure. van der Hugenhaben didn't show up, nor did Tzortzakis. So 400K worth of wages doing absolutely nothing. Atleast both will be out of the team next season, to make room for riders who can actually score points.
Congrats cio for a good win. Demare will be very expensive next season. It will be quite interesting to see how you will be able to form a team around 900-1000K beasts like Demare and Herklotz...

Beautiful coincidence that I need increasingly more training money each season anyway?

I think Herklotz is a good option to sell for training money...

Amazing win for Demare, what a beast he has become with this year's training Not the worst result though for Van 2tayen

Very successful addition. Just a shame we couldn't be part of the success, but we just don't have the team for this sort of race.
Congrats cio and KO. Enjoyed every bit of Demare vs MvS cock-measuring contest.
Thanks for all the lively reports jandal!

More of the same with the team failing completely. Only the victory at KoM helps minimize losses to opponents.
Congrats Cio for this great victory and thanks for the fantastic reports jandal
