Crappy stage result from us there. But a nice day for Velits moving into the top 10, and Gilanipoor doing the amazing dream of any KoM-hunting climber with minor GC points: moving further away from the lead for more freedom, but also staying in the same spot on GC!
Let's hope the next stage is more stage 3 and less stage 2!

Great that Kudus was in the right side of the split, which basically secures a Top6 in GC (well, i don't think he'll lose 7 minutes to 8 riders). A shame that neither Novak, Ndayisenga or Serrano could be in the first group to rise a lot in GC, but Christensen did a fantastic effort to stay in the first group to allow the team to keep fighting with Popo for the Team standings

Good stage for our 3 remaining musketeers. Gaviria finishing 3rd which is a great result for him. Senni on the right side on the split and for Savini it would be excellent if he can just fnish this race. Great show from the youngsters today!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Surprisingly a bunch sprint, thought a breakaway would have it in the bag. Úran at the good side of the split. still have some hope he can climb to the podium.

Big win for Granjel Cabrera! Massive need for us to get any points possible so taking a stage in a race we have otherwise abandoned is a very promising way to go.

Disappointing that Lobato didn't get involved in that sprint as he clearly would have been in with a half decent shot of a great result. Was however pleasing to see Nazaret in the front group and move back into the Top 10 of the GC. Remaining stages should be very tough and competitive so hopefully Nazaret can utilise his strengths.

Well, that stage sucked. Completely anonymous, no Appo for the sprint, and Garby slides further down thanks to a random split. Not that fun. Hopefully Garby does something aggressive in the next couple of days.

That was disappointing, Ji shipping a couple of GC places and substantial time to some GC competitors around him due to the impact of wind on this otherwise assumed 'easy' stage. Having Feng on the team was suppossed to help either avoid or help rectify/minimise the impact of these sort of occassions, so as apparently no impact, his anonymous season thus far continues. Ji needs to return to his stage 2/3 consistency for the remaining stages, and looking for some break appearances from the others now.

Well Shikai losing a bit of time is not great, but it wasn't anything insane. Hayakawa and Onodera both doing well on the stage though, so that is decent.

First a fantastic effort by the support on the flat to reel in that strong breakaway. Then Duarte with a +5 day riding really well and attacking after such a disappointing stage 4. What a massive effort and a massive reward, climbing to 4th in the GC as well.

A very nice try from Senni, hope he keeps his top 20.
We're down to two musketeers, hope Gaviria can be of use for Senni in the last stage

Well, I can't complain. I told Garby to get aggressive, and he did. He attacked as much as he could. For some reason, the peloton just didn't want a breakaway to go today, despite his efforts. nothing we can do about that. We sacrifice a couple of spots on GC, but I reckon it was worth the risk. Just didn't pay off. Is it too much to ask he tries again on the final stage?

Good ride by Pluchkin again, GC should be pretty much sealed.

Úran where he's supposed to be now. Confident he'll remain on the podium now.

There we go Shikai. Great performance from him to be so aggressive, and then to hold on to the superior climbers for the rest of the stage and take 3rd! This is almost as good as a win, moving up in the GC too.
