Well, that a pretty random sprint
No rider in the breakaway, and Roelandts just missing on bonus seconds, so not a good opening stage

Classic Kruopis, outperformee by Dzervus yet again. Manfred didnt even try to get into the breakaway, this is shaping up to be a waste of RDs

Goss!
Pretty funny that I enjoy Gossy's results more than my own team's sprinters since he left us Pretty great start into the season for good ol' Matty! Which is cool for Indosat, which tried - that may be just rumours though - to ship him in off season

Pretty messy sprint there! Carrefour with what seemed like too weak a lead-out there for Lo Cicero. Nelson with a decent result for 2nd after launching from a mile out. Goos unsurprisingly taking the first stage and has to be odds on for the GC if he can continue like that.

Well i guess the two 80+ sprinter plan works. Good start with solid stage scoring, getting an early U25 lead and still giving us two clear options in the GC + Points fight. Happy thus far, two days to become extatic

4 sprinters here and no one participating is surely not ideal. Hope this changes in the upcoming 2 stages.
Mollema in the break was nice to see, though he really should have gone stronger for the KoM.
And congrats to Indosat. Goos with another nice win here beating big names. Nelson with a good sprint as well after not a lot so far this year and Vantomme with another podium. Though weird to see Podium Ambition with the wrong sprinter in the lead. Often this weird order changes in the last 1,5km with a proper leadout, but not today.
Feiereisen with a big result, that wasn`t expected in such field. Just like Mohs that far off. |

The team standings is a bit like the combination classification at La Vuelta. And you know, I like it

And its official, lo cicero is absolutely useless. An okay sprint train and kevin feiresen finshes higher than him.
Probably gonna be an ugly race for us then. |

Good job from Sarawut taking the KoM jersey for 2 stages. Really need some other point scorers, seeing what a disappointing piece of grarbage Guerao has become. |

Very nice to see Aviv in the break but equally annoying to see Matti not sprinting.

Thanks guys
No better way to start a goal race
I can hear the guys on the team bus in Pologne cracking open a few bottles of the finest champagne after seeing the footage of Goss’ victory! Wonderful day for the team in both races.
Terrific finish from Goss! Gotta love the instinct to jump off Guarnieri’s wheel at the right time too. I feel if Guarnieri jumped at the time Goss did, he probably would have taken the stage though.
If he can manage a couple more top-10 results in the coming stages, that goal result will be all but locked up.
@tsmoha: Glad you’re enjoying it as much (probably more ) as I am! And uh, yes, the question was asked if he had thought about riding elsewhere for his swansong season if he so desired - thankfully he didn’t!
Thanks for the report too!

Meh result from Drapac, but the next stage is even flatter so maybe he can do better there.

Pretty nice looking preview. Interesting idea also. Almost all PCT teams are participating, so I'm not expecting anything good here to be honest. Especially with having one of the worst sprinters in the pack. And after first stage I'm pretty sure I'll do nothing in this race. |

Guarnieri did well to position himself on Carrefour's train, but seems like he didn't have the speed to compete for a podium today. Hope he can improve for the next stages as we need to start picking up bigger points sooner rather than later.
Congrats to Eden! Nice performance by Goss, that.

Think Dave will be chuffed with that! Absolute class lead-out from the whole team delivering Cav to a well deserved stage win. Makes for a juicy final stage!

Roelandts using his great positioning skills to steal Cav's wheel and take a surprising podium place after the caos provoked by the breakway riders. Jurgen just seems to be always performing a bit over his level, though he had no chance in the sprint against TMM and TMM's protegee.
15 seconds that puts him up to sixth in GC. I hope he can get some seconds tomorrow too to secure a Top10 result in GC, while i hope one of my riders (ideally either Agostini or Roson, the latter because of U25) can get in the breakway and fight for a KoM jersey win and maybe a low scoring GC result thanks to intermediate sprints.
Thanks for the great reports SN!
