The merge between Roompot and Verandas Willems has been confirmed. The team will ride under the name Roompot - Crelan in 2019. |

Ruben Guerreiro’s transfer to Katusha is now confirmed. Very injury and illness prone rider, and considering what is happening this year with the team, bar some occasions, I’m not very excited about this move. |

I think this merger makes more sense than the one with Aqua Blue. Roompot is an established team from the Benelux region and already gets invitees in the classics. The Aqua Blue rumour made no sense other than ABS acquiring the riders' contracts as well as their bike supplier in Felt to replace 3T. We know that it failed

He can't get along with Nuyens and hates the lack of communication, but I don't think he's opposed to Roompot. They would be far better help then he had this year. But if he can somehow get to Lotto a year early, that would be even better.
