Well, I did get into a screenshot after all, but Guldhammer puncturing sure isn't the way I wanted to do it...
22nd is both literally nothing and yet still above my expectations. At least Garby tried and finished ahead of the big groups behind. That's a good sign. I would have liked to have had somebody in the breakaway though.
Anyway, awesome report tsmoha, and congrats to eBuddy! The reports this year have been thrilling, detailed, and fast paced. Absolutely loving it.

Great reporting and exciting race, congrats to alex. I'm a little disappointed in Amador here because I think he got beat by some riders who he should not be losing to, but I guess it could be worse.

You must have been terrified looking at Dombrowski knowing Morton will be facing him in Il Giro

Sicard fought hard and for a moment I actually thought he'd be able to steal a top-5. Quintana useless as always, though. |

16th, meh. The gamble to take him here instead of Pico Basile didn't pay off in the end, though it's easier to say afterwards.
Thanks tsmoha for the report, congrats to Dombrowski and alexkr00!

5th place is a great result, I am really happy with the first Barguil's race in my jersey! Looks like nice support stats plus a great ACC and DH made a nice difference in comparison to other 81-82 climbers. May be just a great day for him, but in any case this result gives me some nice hopes of a great season especially when considering now maxed out Jan Hirt is almost the same rider as is now trained Warren Barguil.
Also happy to see our former guy Giogieri getting a really nice result for RBC, only too bad both Velits and Uran could not finish somehow higher, but well, hopefully it was mainly just a bad day for them.
Big thanks for the report. Really surprised to see Pluchkin not able to keep with other two superstars. On the other way this was surely a premium result for Kritskiy and also Brenes or Beltran. And especially for Aker this was quietly quite a decent race even with Guldhammer's bad luck with a lot of riders nicely placed around 25th place.

Decent result, but surprised a gap was made in the downhill. Don't see that too often... Can't complain about the points we get here though, and it wasn't our PTHC goal anyways

Other folks might be interested in acquiring his services after having previous enquiries re-buffed! . Of course, as you highlight he is useless, so obviously doesn't merit much of a transfer fee .

Expected dominance from the PT 'hitters' in attendance. PCT riders mostly left fighting over scraps. In that context, Berhane in 14th is an acceptable performance; a few riders that would expect to beat over the course of a season ahead, but similarly, others behind.
Ji was disappointing though. Will hang fire until more evidence is gathered at the Classique Pico Basile and ToME before contacting his agent to re-discuss bonus payment terms!
Congrats to the top performenrs, and thanks for the atmospheric report to TSM. This new race with it's interesting course design seems to have been a success on debut.

Superb performance from Monsalve and Carthy here considering the field - and seeing Barguil up there in 5th makes me think once again about the possibility of 81MO Yates next season. The points here alone turn a pretty average - if not poor - start to the season into one that looks a lot better, and without any races that you could say really suited us so far.
Really enjoyed the report tsmoha, thanks once again! |

Five riders top 30 sounds awesome, just unfortunate that only one of them was top 20
Feels unlucky with Guldhammer's puncture, as seeing the positioning in that group on the climb, it looked like a top 10 out the window. As Roman points out, some nice 5-7 pointers in Khederi and Lunke, but all in all, it feels like we did worse than expectations here. Of course it would have been a different story without Guldhammer's puncture, but it just adds to a slow season start in the mountains and on the hills, with Badaling in mind too.
Cool to see Dombrowski beat Taaramäe, I must say, would be nice if we get to see more of that duel during the season. Congratulations, alexkr00 Dombrowski surely looks to be a man up for the task to at least challenge the great Estonian, eventhough this result could well be down to daily form. Nice to see Barguil do very well too, as he looks like an awesome rider with Roman's training! Kritskiy with a surprisingly good result, I feel, kind of proving acceleration isn't necessarily everything in the mountains.
And a very nice report, tsmoha! Enjoyed it greatly, as it was intense all the way from the moment Dombrowski attacked. Thank you! |

The puncture has to show something here - when you take out crashes, the guy who has that rare puncture loses way more than everyone else.

Can't recall if Heine mentioned if he will be there or not, but if Taaramae isn't going to Switzerland this year, we'll have to wait until next year for the rematch

Dombrowski will be looking for a big improvement in TDS I guess?

Just check Taaramae RD's. He has space for Liechtenstein and a 8-day stage race, so it's either PN or Dauphine, as it's on his goals posted in his HQ.
I'll let Heine say where it's racing Taaramae though, but Dombo won't face this season again Taaramae
