Sure, athlete is just a robot and what goes in his head and life off the bike CANT infulence his racing...
Also he is cycling biggest star, non-cycling stuff is also news.

Van Aert signs 3-year contract with Jumbo running from 2020 to 2022. A bit strange but nice that Van Aert will make the full switch then. I suppose one more CX season of rivalry between VDP and WVA to enjoy. Hopefully VDP will switch soon-ish too.

Apparently, he could be joining Lotto-NL earlier if his current team doesn't get a sufficient budget. I have zero knowledge of CX, so no idea if that's an actual possibility

Plan is for him to go to Lotto in September 2019, when the CX season starts. This cyclo-cross season and most of 2019 road season will be ridden in Verandas (and possibily further if they manage to get a sponsor so they can pay for him).. Thats what I got

Not sure about that. He will be 18 for the first month of his World Tour career, without the experience of a single bike race against actual opposition in his life.
Just read this. Apparently, Lefevere was worried he would lose him to other teams due to their recent interest (Sky one of them), so he snatched him up sooner.
The kid is a talent in the making and could be a serious thing in the next decade. This premature change has to be handled quite immaculately so he doesn't end up like an Adrien Costa of any sorts. |

De Plus went to Jumbo too with Van Aert. Very good transfers for them.
Evenepoel has the most extraordinary junior results I ever seen. Absolutely mad. |

Not sure what to make of this. Could be rubbish. Could be the start of another huge saga.

Which transparent Brailsford labeled fake news, of course. According to Belgian sources, they offered Evenepoel a 5-year deal.

Probably an action going nowhere, but can also create an interesting precedent

Big news for Mitchelton. Despite some earlier rumours, they could only keep 1 of their top 4 riders, both Adam and Simon Yates did extend their contract for 2 years.
I think Chaves has another year of the contract anyway.
I guess with Greipel leaving Lotto and seems to head towards Bahrain, Ewan might replace him there as he seems secured as leaving. |

Ffs, the guy is stupid and/or delusional. Must be a SKY thing Has he ever checked Twitter? Sky is unpopular everywhere in the world. I would jump on Brailsfraud's car and boo him all the way up to Alp d'Huez if it makes him feel any better.

What did Brailsfraud say about Moscon, literally the only rider to punch somebody else? Again, must be a sky thing.

Vicente Garcia de Mateos is provisionally suspended after irregularities on his biological passport. He, who after Raul Alarcon, has the most “obvious doper” written all over him, in the Portuguese teams. Same happened with Ibai Salas and Igor Merino from Burgos (another shocker). |
