@trekbmc I hope he can be somehow important for the team, even if just being a great domestique, or maybe shining in the odd hilly/TT race like he used to do
@Croatia Mosca is a rider that i suggested his stats before the season, so for me it's a "emotional" signing. Really hoping he can show his fighting spirit
@Booker Yeah, hopefully some of them will be anounced during the day, but also it would be kind if we would stop to get in each others way About Barrio, if he does something notable great, if not, it's only 50k of wage

My only concern with Barrio is that he may be given leadership which wouldn't be ideal for you. The rest of your team looks to be shaping up nicely tho!

Well, there's a small IA concern, but my hilly leader is going to be a rider that with the same hill stat as Barrio, is stronger in any other stats, so should be fine

Coming from someone who has been burned by Barrio in the past... best of luck with him. Overall, some decent first signings.

Spoiler Thanks both. I hope you like too the next two couples of riders
Transfers Update, Round 2 The 30 years-old Czech rider is the first true Stage Racer that joins the team for this coming season. We arrived at our team following a deal that involved 2017 CT Individual Ranking winner Rafael Valls and Festina - Dexia team, something that wasn't the ideal situation, but had to be done in order to have as much wage cap space as possible for getting our targets.
Taking a fantastic win in Giro del Trentino in 2015
Jakub has a skill set that we value a lot in Repsol, being able to combine both mountains and tt abilities, and not being shabby in hills. He should lead the team in some stage racer which involves mountain/hills and long TT's, hoping he can give us consistent GC results to complement his labour of supporting our climbing leader in other races.

In a breakaway during past Tour de France
The Canadian puncheur comes from PT team RBC looking for oportunities to shine by himself. Surely an spectacular rider that can accelerate fast and depending on circustances, could become in a dark horse for some nice results during the season. We are surely going to try to find him some chances to do that. Also his TT isn't terrible, so he might be of some use in hilly stage races with a TT, though he wouldn't be a contender by any means.

Transfers Update, Round 3 Taking a stage win in Tour of Britain a couple of years back, the last time he was in a PCT team
It's being long due, but we finally signed our hilly leader for the 2018 season, the 26 years-old Norwegian, who comes in transfers from Volvo. He's not yet there to really fight for the wins in PCT level, but we've made moves to give him a great supporting cast and with his great acceleration, he should be up for great results. Someone to keep around for many years given his youthness
He already has some decent wins in his back, like 2 stage wins in WT races and other two wins in PCT level in 2016. We hope that he add to that count at least one in 2018 thanks to his attacking spirit
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 72 | 68 | 79 | 61 | 75 | 72 | 67 | 56 | 68 | 76 | 78 | 73 | 61 |
Sprinting to 3rd in Strada Appia Antica in 2016
For the first time in the history of our team, we have signed a rider with 80+ in his main stat, and the 30 year-old Belgian cobbler is due to lead our team in all the cobbled races that we get to ride in 2018. We are aware of the super strong competition that has arrived in PCT this year for the cobbles, but we have confidence in Sep, and that he should be consistently in Top10's and fighting for regular podium and Top5, and why not, get what would be his first ever pro win.
Also, his great flat abilities could make him use his remaining RD's after cobbles on flat races where he could get some points in classics or helping a sprinter to leadout him
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 76 | 58 | 66 | 62 | 77 | 72 | 68 | 80 | 70 | 72 | 65 | 68 | 67 |
Finally we were able to snatch a decent rider through FA after several unsuccesfull bidding wars, and we got a 24 years-old climber from Rwanda, who unless there's a radical change in the market, should be the third best U25 climber in PCT for this season, which means U25 points for him on top of his own GC performances.
He should be a solid domestique for a better climber, in both mountains and hills, as he might lack backups to get the oportunity to lead a team, but he could get the odd chance to lead depending on his leader's calendar
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 66 | 78 | 75 | 65 | 69 | 68 | 73 | 52 | 63 | 73 | 72 | 69 | 65 |

A lot of cool signings here, really like the build up from CT!
Dont think it hurt to pick Barrio, especially as you got Bystrom aswell. Good job with transfers so far, really good team this is turning to be

@Vien You better be
@Dev4ever Yeah, it's being a very tough days trying to create a competitive team almost from scratch, and a lot of FA fights, so i'm ending with a team that neither of the big signings were actual objetives before transfers

Those 3 latest additions are awesome - especially Bystrom I love, Vanmarke is a great signing too but just generally a lot of very strong riders in your squad in all levels and terrains actually, should make for a great team overall.

All the best with Vanmarcke! Indeed Appia Antica was a race he enjoyed - so quite convenient that route is now being used for Roma Maxima at this level!

@trek Tbh i'm not a big fan of a more rounded squad, with depth in all terrain and some decent leaders, but i can't deny that it has worked in the past, and once i got "forced out" of super top riders, this is an strategy that i hope it works
@SN That's great to hear! Would be awesome to see him getting his first ever MG win there
@jt1109 Thanks! Hope he can get some surprising results

Transfers Update, Round 4 Taking in 2015 GP Herning his only pro win
We signed this French of 30 years with the intention of giving Sep Vanmarcke a top domestique for this season in a cheap price. Fabien comes from fellow PCT team Generali after doing domestique duties for Teunissen there. We expect from him that he lasts as long as possible in the favourite's group supporting Sep, and then go and take some depth points
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 77 | 56 | 57 | 65 | 70 | 70 | 70 | 78 | 54 | 55 | 59 | 64 | 65 |
Taking a stage win in 2013 ZLM Tour, then he would win the GC
We have signed this French rider of 33 years as a part of Bystrom's hilly train. He's not in his prime anymore, but we feel like he still has some quality to offer, not anymore as a leader, but as a luxury domestique in pure hilly races or using his decent climbing abilities to help in mixed MON/HIL races. We are looking forward to Guillaume riding for us
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 68 | 73 | 78 | 65 | 68 | 70 | 71 | 52 | 62 | 66 | 71 | 64 | 65 |
Repsol - Netflix management is so glad to present the first big talent that the team has ever signed, the young Irish rider Eddie Dunbar! Being 22 and a Pot6 rider, he was signed for a 150k wage and depending on how he develop, he could become the future leading puncheur of the team, or become in a great stage racer, but his development posibilities will be treated in other post later on.
We can't wait to see him in full potential in 3 years, but in the meantime he could already be a decent rider for the team, as given his decent TT abilities, he could become a part of the team in races that includes a TTT, while also wanting him to give a shot at breakaways. We feel like his stats are perfect for PCT breakaways, but will see if Eddie can do that, or if he'll stay as a pure domestique for this season

Dunbar is a very nice signing for the future!
Bystrom and Vanmarcke is great aswell, hopefully Bystrom will stay at your team for a long time and maybe even get to train him that was always my plan but had to change them. Very good depth in the hills aswell... |

Spoiler @Viking Yes, very happy with Dunbar, several good possibles development. And about Bystrom, it would be ideal to train him to 80/81, but will see if i can have money for that
Transfers Update, Round 5 Taking the opening stage in 2016 Vuelta a España
For the first time in the team's history, we are signing an sprinter which can actually compete for some wins. Jurgen Roelandts is one of the rider with most wins in MG history, having won 29 times in his career, including 8 stage wins in Vuelta a España.
His ability to go over hills makes him a valuable asset for not pan-flat races, and could see him scoring much better than other 80/81 sprinters in PCT. He will be the lone wolf of the team in the sprinting field, as there's no other 71+ sprinter in the team, so he'll need to usurp other rider's train to get good results. He's already 33, so probably this is the last year he can challenge for wins in PCT level, and he has stated his will to take a win after 2017 being the first year since he got his first pro win that he didn't win anything
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 74 | 60 | 70 | 67 | 74 | 73 | 80 | 69 | 80 | 79 | 68 | 64 | 67 |

Dunbar (76/80 wow!) & Ndayisenga have been two of the best purchases of this FA surely. Roelandts won't stop you either. You may be a direct promotion contender with your side, great work especially on FAs. Depth uphill, and still getting minor parts done in the ugly races. Congratulations.
