17th July Update: Transfers DB now available. https://www.dropbox.com/s/cabf6a4cjze...B.xls?dl=0
---
Firstly, a couple of key things to note:
- There's still a couple of hours work on young riders to do. Hopefully done over the next evening or two. So if it looks like your suggestion post has been completely ignored, don't fear just yet! I didn't want to wait on posting this anymore, now that renewals was all-but completed this evening.
- There are quite a lot of 95/96/97 riders added with low random stats. Some of these may be altered in v2, but many have just been added in anticipation of being 'properly added' in a future season.
- There's 2 riders still in Renewals, hence having 'Pending' in front of their team name.
----
Otherwise, here is the first Post-Renewals DB for the MG 2018 season.
Included are:
- The results of the renewals process - with those who have departed teams now in the free agency; alongside riders from disbanded teams; previous free agents; and newly added riders.
- Wages of renewed riders.
- Updated RD information
- Updated NCs - all that are currently included in SotD's list
Please check your teams to confirm your riders are as-renewed.

Not sure if it's here, but I found that there are 2 -Giovanni Carboni- in the DB. No doubt they're the same rider

I guess you meant to write Fabio Jakobsen, because there's a Jaroslav Jakobsen from Netherlands who can become a top sprinter in the future

- Does Lennard Kämna (Umlaut missing in the DB btw) have random placeholder stats for now that will be addressed before transfers, or will he really be left out / made useless in Benoot 1.0 style because of Gidich and Wirtgen being similar riders? I clearly planned with him being properly added this season.
- ID120 is supposed to be FABIO Jakobsen, I assume.
- No renewals-related complaints about my team, but I would yet again like to request to have a name change for ID758 Nerz before we start the season, his name is Dominik Nerz. It's just annoying to look at for like half a decade now.

Have noticed you have added a youngster named Revi Cavagna when there is already a Rémi Cavagna added

215 Pavarin Marcello
He has XP Level 1, but is clearly maxed out. No biggie, but messes a bit when sorting.

Also, I was at the expectation that we would see a new (maybe set of?) development possibility this season. Can we have that file? The DB for me is partly useless if I don't know how I can develop unmaxed riders.

We don't like to add young riders who are already retired, especially if they are a candidate for higher stats, and Kamna is very much up in the air at the moment in that regards. Thats the main reason, from when this was discussed with roturn a couple of weeks ago.
Have also always looked to avoid adding similarly aged, and similarly terrain focused elite riders from the same nation as well, so if there's any other rider influencing caution here, it is Herklotz.

Nice to have this one out
A lot of interesting free agents,
No big deal at all but just saw that it says 2017 Team and 2016 team instead of 2018 team and 2017 team. |

Sure the NCs are correct?
If it dont messes up when I am sorting it it looks like my team (Volvo..) dont have any National Champions at all this season but infact we should:
Lövkvist Swedish NC RR
Johansson Swedish NC IT
Haugard Norwegian NC IT
Haugard Jensen Danish NC RR |

The mental gymnastics required to make the transfer plans A-J can begin!
Thanks to the DB team, looking forward to trawling through this over the next few days...

There is a new Jenthe Biermans, even though he was in my team already. The FA is actually better, so I'll take him instead
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I knew I didn't need to bother with QAing the additions myself, thanks for pointing various things out.
Definitely something weird happened in copying over the NC values into the upload DB, as the NCs were correct in my working DB.

Ah damnit, Biermans seemed the most fitting rider to fill that rider profile. Will need to rename one of them then.

Fabian was posted, otherwise, I didn't make any other changes. Will instead look to review those categories during the 2018 season, ready for next year.

Wow, roturn is more pessimistic than I am? That's interesting news.
Not even I believe Kämna is going to retire, I'm adding my post in the news thread here.

A few personal words from Lennard Kämna in this article-interview mix.
For anyone fearing this could turn into a second Adrien Costa, doubts should be removed. There are no signs of a lack of motivation.
A spiral of infections that were not properly addressed required a resting phase and schedule reset, health and morale are up again and regular training resumed.
Yes, the initial news by Sunweb sounded grim, but nothing suggests he'll disappear on us, if anything his progression will be slightly slower and more natural.
On the topic of strong Germans, I'd like to argue that both Fiedler and Keinath are 31 and will be well into their decline by the time a rider added now would be maxed (Kittel and Schädlich are 30 too, the second best German TTer will soon be Politt on 78).
Kämna, with roughly the stats spread SotD suggested, would be an ideal fit as a replacement of both at the same time, depending on his future team priorizing TTs or stage races. It's fine and realistic to have him clearly more TT-focused than climbing-focused either way, comparing to Herklotz and the aforementioned Gidich/Wirtgen.
Additionally, there's no sign of a better candidate for a stage racer coming out of the U23s or Juniors yet, so if we wait for a more suitable rider, the entirety of teams from Germany and neighboring countries is left with Herklotz, Nerz, Arndt and maybe Vasyliv for many years to come (two of those are long retired anyway).
