random generated pro puncheur with no 2nd specialty
75 cob limit
1.cdb
level upgrade chose +potential cob
79 cob limit
2.cdb
2 level increases later (+mo stat both times)
still 79 cob limit
3.cdb
cio93 probably you got a rare bug
see if you can reproduce it
and in all my stats the limit is the exact middle of the numbers in the progression page so when it says 71-75 its 73 for me

My question is,
Is there any improvemend on the career mode of the potentials ? Because i want to make my own database with not Froome having 83 and Dumoulin having 79 on climbing because thats riddicoules!!! But when i start my career with 83 froome and 81 Dumoulin then a half year later in the career Carapaz that i give 80 is suddenly 82 on climbing.
I want my own database and that i can set the potentials off, PCM 2011 and 2012 has that ?? So does anybody knows ? |

For example in PCM 2017 they became tired if they have 0% in a week, but they still ride a race
If I have a rider with Tour de France at objectives, I can see he had 0% under the Tour de France. Should i change it to 100% under Tour de France and to 0% in the weeks after Tour de France so they not get tired, like you should do in PCM 2017?
If I want to top at the ardennes classics, should i choose for example Tour of Basque as objectives, so they have fitness peak under the ardennes classics? |

You can easily customize any database in any PCM with any editor in this regard. I don't know what you're referring to with 2011 and 2012.

Ah I remember this gem. You we're able to change how quickly riders would progress or decline stat-wise. This has been left out for a long time now I think

The fitness system hasn't changed. Although afaik, training intensity during races is irrelevant, any race day is treated like a 100% training day.
Regarding your last paragraph, that still depends on the fitness level and the amount of races in the preparation period. Timing it to reach 100 around your goal is a scheduling skill.
Don't forget that you'll get +1 daily form for your goal race. That's gone if you trick the game this way.
On the other hand, a strategy now possible (at least in be a pro mode) is to set the goal earlier than intended at the start of the season, then switch it to your actual goal race after the peak points buildup has started. This way you get a headstart towards your peak, while retaining the goal bonus.

He's talking about the option in the setting that made it possible to change how fast riders would progress in career mode. |

I love the version this year so far. Playing on hard with 19 yrs old stage racer/puncheur. im i August first season and didn´t grab any win .... normally in the first season i win 4-6 races, but now? Difficult seems a way higher as in previous versions. i think its very realistic.
Didn´t see lot of bugs. A must buy this year. |

Is the mountain stat still not used for mountain stages? Think they changed it with pcm 16 and I hated the new algorithm.
And declining of riders changed since pcm 15. Is the column for decline still useless in the db? I want to adjust by myself when a rider declines.
These are my most hated changes to pcm. Because of that I'm still playing 13. |

Mountain stat is used. Why do you think that? |

Only mixed between 85-90/95... Same mix in TT and Prolog. Seems very realistic for me.

Mountain and Hill don't strictly mean Mountain and Hill any more, they more mean steady uphill efforts and high intensity uphill efforts, I can't remember what the scale is (possibly changed for PCM18 as well) anymore but they just don't really directly correspond to mountain and hill any more, just mountain is more important on mountain stages and hill is more important on hilly stages.

I have ride all the World Tour one Day race, and this is so much better than pcm 17.
In Milano-Sanremo in 17 it was to easy to win with an attack at the top of Poggio. The first i ride here in 18, there was some attack both at Cipressa and Poggio, but it ended with a sprint like it often did, but i guess its also possible to win with an attack with the punchers.
In Paris-Roubaix last there it was often group og 8-12 riders who should sprint for the win at the vélodrome in 17. The first i ride in 2018, Sagan was close to win with a solo attack from 40 km to the finish line, but it ended with a sprint between four riders.
In the other cobblerace there was a lot of attack from riders with 73-76 long way from the finish line. Gent-Wevelgem ended with a sprint between 50 riders, E3 and Dwars Door Vlaandern with solo win, Ronde van Vlaandern with 2 riders in front with 4 riders just behind.
At the ardenners there was a lot of attack. Amstel ended with a group of 7 riders, Fleche 22 riders, Liege 8 riders, but i guess it will also be possible to win with a solo attack.
In race like Franfurt, London and Hamburg there also was a lot of attack like we often ser in one Day race.
Lombardiet ended with a sprint betweewn 5 riders, with i think also is realistic |

Hi all, has someone tried how simulation/quick simulation of races work? I remember in some edition ago Cyanide improved some sort of commands the player could gave to the riders before simulating the race, is it still available? If I can correctly remember, it was possible to see rapidly the resume of the race looking at a race shape...
Thanks a lot for answering. |

I am also finding Pro Cyclist quite enjoyable so far. I'm racing with a 19 year old climber/stage racer on extreme and I'm just about to finish my first fitness peak. My result are not of the charts:
Colombia Oro y Paz - KOM jersey
Tour of Antalya - 8th GC
Istarsko Proljece - 10th GC
Tour of Sochi - 1x stage win and GC win
I was able to get my 1st win with a stage and the overall in the Tour of Sochi, because I was on the fitness peak, but other than that I haven't been able to do much more. The level ups have been a bit up and down, the first 2 levels I couldn't get much, but for level 11 I got a total of 22 points!!
Need to race some more different races, but so far it's been fun. This is how my rider looks:

I'm disappionted over that the fitness and objectives system not changed, like if when you take a GT as objective you need to change the fitness to 50-100 for every rider under the GT and to 0 for the 2 weeks after the GT, so they not get tired.
What do you think about the fitness and objectives system?
Someone who had ride a GT, who can tell about how realistics it is?
For example, is there breakway win at medium stages? Big group of rider in breakway at some medium and mountain stages? Is there attack from the GC riders, who need to take some time, long way from the finish line at the last mountain stages?
Someone who had ride a season in Career mode who can tell about how good the new transfer system is? And that there is now bug into the second season like we sometimes see with a new game?
