Sagan grabbed his 6th national title, this time not letting his brother win it (he needs the jersey to replace WC kit you know).
It was a training ride, first he attacked right after the start, was caught and attacked again and wen to 90km solo ride with 3mins advantage, nobody was bothered to chase be it Czech or Slovakian (brother Juraj and Kolář both from BORA would be chasers, so easy task).
The race is joint with Czech Republic, where home team Elkov Author controlled the race with sheer numbers, pissing off Kreuziger or Schlegel who withdraw...only Štybar tried to fight them, but they played the "quickstep tactics" on him and Author riders finished 1-2-3, with Černý taking the double ,after his TT win. (well known Jan Barta second in both races) Černý is having a great season and should be up for the potential WT job.

Btw. quite a surprise that Micahel Kolář from BORA aged only 25 decided to end his cycling career right after the race, saying that he does not feel like moving anywhere in his career.

Looking at Kolar's results, he doesn't really have too much in the way of individual performances. Last year's European Championships probably the best, and not too many World Tour race appearances considering he has been World Tour for 5 seasons. It's a shame there isn't really much depth to Slovakian cycling at the moment, beyond Sagan.
Nice to hear about the tactics in the Czech race!

Stake Laengen from UAE takes the Norwegian RR yesterday with a surge from a smaller group towards the end.
Kristoff and EBH stuck in the Peleton, where nobody could agree to take turns to bring back the break. Kristoff had several riders up the road who he had an agreement with.(Laengen and Team Coop). So there was a bit of arguing because of the lack of effort to bring it back. Last year's winner Tiller, came in second. After trying to bridge across.

Yep, not much to show in his palmares, i guess he actually benefited from being friend of Sagan and thus was given the WT job for so many years. A bit like "the brother" Juraj, but in his case he is doing fine in recent years especially in the classics and i would say that he deserves the spot now.

Whole Slovakian national race is a charade. Sagan would have won even If he had been riding whole race length on his own right from the start.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.
