Introducing Delvaux
With the financial backing of the oldest fine leather luxury goods company in the world, we are pleased to announce the foundation of the new Belgian pro cycling project ‘Delvaux’. Partnering Delvaux sees a range of Belgian suppliers with a long and proud history within the sport; Eddy Merckx Bikes and Shimano will together supply the team with bikes and other associated equipment over the coming season, while Vermarc and Met will be responsible for respectively clothing and helmets. In addition, an agreement has come into place with German carmaker Audi to deliver vehicles of the highest quality packed with the latest technology.
Formerly of the now defunct Italian Pro Tour team Venchi, ‘Sykkel_Freak’ has been hired as the team’s first general manager. Speaking to the press about his expectations towards his new job, the Norwegian said: «I’m extremely delighted to have been given the opportunity to manage a team at this level for a second time. There’s no sport quite like cycling, and I have missed being a part of it every day since Venchi disbanded. As for Delvaux, I’m optimistic about our chances of creating something truly special for the Belgian cycling fans to enjoy. I can’t wait for the new season to start rolling and to show everyone what we are all about!».
The team is set to take on somewhat of a classic Belgian profile, aiming to build up a strong national core consisting of aggressive rider types who excels at one-day races and short stage races. «More than anything, we wish to be visible and achieve results through playful and aggressive tactics. Although I can’t say anything about potential targets, it’s clear that we will place a priority on riders with a great fighting spirit who excels in various terrains», ‘Sykkel_Freak’ told the press. With the 2017 season coming to an end with the ongoing NC's, Delvaux is set to announce a graphical profile for the upcoming campaign in the next few weeks.

Good luck, good to have more Belgian teams again. We'll talk in the transfer season
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Thanks, Ollfardh! With Proximus disbanding, another Belgian team was surely needed. The only thing that's missing now is Belgium to be represented in the PT. Hopefully one of us can make that happen in not too long as well
And yes, we will for sure talk in the transfer season

Assa Abloy Transfer Hub
Welcome to the Assa Abloy transfer hub! Here you’ll find an overview of riders available for transfers this transfer season.
The following are riders we are actively looking to sell this transfer window.
Yonathan Monsalve (34) | Stage Racer | XP: 4.100 | Wage: € 175.000 |
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | OVL | 66 | 79 | 74 | 70 | 76 | 77 | 74 | 54 | 63 | 70 | 67 | 63 | 70 | 76.71 |
Starting off, Yonathan Monsalve is available. Monsalve is a solid stage racer who excels in the mountains, but also handle hills and TT’s quite well. Although a bit on the older side, he still has the stats to perform well in all divisions and is additionally on very attractive wages.
Lars Van der Haar (32) | Rouleur | XP: 4.100 | Wage: € 100.000 |
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | OVL | 77 | 66 | 72 | 66 | 70 | 72 | 69 | 75 | 72 | 70 | 76 | 78 | 71 | 75.31 |
Lars Van der Haar is another rider I’m looking to sell this window. Van der Haar is a strong roleur that excels in hard cobbled classics with his abilities to climb hills and recoup energy on the way down with his 78-downhill stat. He also has a strong finish to rely on and loves his breakaways. Var der Haar has delivered strong results for several seasons for me as high up as PTHC level and should be a useful rider in all divisions.
The following are riders I’m not actively looking to sell, but they could end up going if I receive a good offer that opens up other possibilities.
Jacopo Mosca (30) | Puncheur | XP: 4.100 | Wage: € 80.000 |
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | OVL | 71 | 72 | 75 | 63 | 73 | 75 | 68 | 60 | 65 | 75 | 80 | 71 | 68 | 74.66 |
Jacopo Mosca is the ideal KoM hunter with his strong puncheur qualities and 80-fighter stat. At the age of 30, he still has multiple years at the top level and is a rider capable of punching above his weight. Although I wouldn’t mind keeping him, I may be tempted to sell to chase other opportunities should the right offer present itself.
Lionel Coutinho (31) | Sprinter | XP: 4.100 | Wage: € 165.000 |
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | OVL | 72 | 63 | 65 | 52 | 75 | 74 | 77 | 55 | 79 | 80 | 55 | 64 | 52 | 75.82 |
Lionel Coutinho is a well-rounded sprinter with high acceleration who is certainly capable of winning races in every division. Last season he won Hanko Classic and several stages in Tour of America, including the points jersey. It would take a convincing offer for me to sell, but given the return of a maxed Dainese, I am open to the idea of selling pursuant to a convincing offer.
Torkil Veyhe (29) | Rouleur | XP: 4.100 | Wage: € 55.000 |
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | OVL | 80 | 66 | 68 | 65 | 66 | 71 | 69 | 51 | 56 | 78 | 80 | 71 | 69 | 73.67 |
Lastly, we have Torkil Veyhe, the Faroese fan favourite. Veyhe is one of the strongest attackers on the flats with his combination of 80-flat, 78-acc, and 80-fighter stats. He is regularly seen on late attacks in flat classics and is certainly capable of pulling an upset win against the star sprinters. At 55k wage, he is a very low-risk, high-reward type of rider. Again a rider I wouldn’t mind at all keeping, but given the return of Konychev to the team, a convincing offer could persuade me.
That’s it for now! Offers on PM or Skype. While cash offers are preferred, I will consider swap offers as well. I have limited availability this weekend, so forgive me if I take some time to respond initially.

Welcome back, it will be nice to finally get to race in the same division as you after watching one of my perennial targets (who I still haven't signed) race in Venchi colours in the past.
Knowing your previous experience I wouldn't be surprised to see you fighting for promotion this year even before you've started signing riders as I only ever remember you having competitive sides in the past.

Very excited to see how your team goes - wasn't around last time you were here but looking forward to you and your team this time

Thanks! It's going to be tough, but I'm definitely aiming for promotion from the get go. Everything is possible with a bit of luck in the transfer market. I vaguely remember ending dead last in the PT one year by the way, but we don't need to talk about that

Likewise! It looks like you have a very nice team going, the building blocks are definitely in place for a good season in PCT if you can bring in a couple of key additions

Thanks! Certainly hope I can build out and up from my base this transfers and secure my PCT spot. And hopefully you'll be there soon enough too

Welcome back! I took good care of some of your former riders. Would be cool if youd quickly rise to the level where they can beat your leaders

Welcome back! I wasn't here when you were around but you sound like a candidate to pull an Evonik/Strava/Isostar/etc. based on your experience and Belgian teams usually mean a fun a batch of riders so should be cool to follow - best of luck!

Thanks mate, great to see that you're still around

Be careful what you wish for, if anybody knows how to beat them, it should be me. Or if you prefer to just hand them back over, that would be fine too
Cool to see that you have continued training Van Stayen by the way, I can imagine cio has been very happy about that

Well now I'm starting to feel the pressure a bit, haha. But thanks a lot.

I see a couple of scenarios where one or both of them could find themselves on the transfer market this year already. If you could hide some of Venchis money ...
Indeed, cio is my biggest fan. He's super supportive in race discussion threads and thanks me often for Van Stayen

Wasn't here when you were around before, but always good to have managers coming back to the MG. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with Benelux riders down in the CT division - we may be in touch come transfer time

Certainly a possibility - you have quite a few interesting, CT-proven riders. Will watch with interest to see if you can continue to deliver in PCT the coming season as well, I think there are good chances of that.

2018 | Jersey Reveal
It's with great pleasure that we present Delvaux's jersey for the upcoming season. Designers at our partner Vermarc Sportswear's office have for the last couple of weeks been working hard to satisfy the tough demands of Delvaux's management. The team will take on a pink and black profile for next season, with golden brown and white details spread throughout the jersey and bibs. We are extremely pleased with the result and are very much looking forward to see it action in Belgium and other places around the world for the next year or so.

Thought about going with something different when I saw your jersey, but then again I really wanted to do pink and black
I've opted for a lighter colors than you though, so hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult to tell us apart whenever we meet. |
