What a great giro so far. Cant wait to finally follow some mountain stages live this weekend!
Absolutely this. Plus with California tonight promising a big show too, this will be a full schedule weekend for climbing adicts
I should say tho that I'm equaly excited for sunday's Giro stage, seems like a very dangerous and hard profile, and it's this year's passage in the Dolomites. Tomorrow if in the early climbs (very hard climbs tho) there isn't a real pace in the pack, it could become a bit of a slow grind up zoncolan without actual attacks.

Smart one for Kangert. No need to torture organism and fuck up all season, maybe also
career. |

Absolutely!
Chaves should prob. do same, but under the circumstance he will most likely try to help Simon tomorrow and see how it goes.

So gutted for him, he was in great form and realistically could have won if Yates had worse legs than him at some point and he took the lead. Sucks that he's got sick, really hope he can recover, if not in this race (which is very unlikely) then he can make a big attempt at La Vuelta. All his bad luck and hard times seemed to have been lifted a bit off his shoulders after Etna seeing how emotional and happy he was after the stage, it meant so much to him. Really sad that just days later he (probably) got sick
Have to agree with Tamijo above, his legs on Zoncolan will be the test I guess.

In hindsight, no GC action is actually no surprise in a race that Nairito wins ahead of Uran Uran lol

Will be interesting if any of the GC 10-20 dares to attempt something on the Cat.2 (50 km out)
A few years back I would not think so, but today ?

Will Konrad or Henao win the Giro?
Will be interesting to see how Yates goes, him vs. Dumoulin is exciting, Pinot and Pozzovivo haven’t lost any major time either and I think especially the latter could be due some fireworks.

The race was over, it was the last day and everybody knew Quintana had won. It comes down to stage order and GC situation as usual |
