World Championships Route Vote - Part 2

Spoiler
Credits to roturn for the text from last year's vote.

The 2017 World Championships will be for the punchers as hills have won the poll. Further, the type of hilly route selected was Hilly with Flat Finish, MO/HI ratio 0.3.

Two options were decided by the MGUCI: Nagasaki and Christchurch.

The TTT and ITT will likely use some of those parts but are regular WC ITTs.

Deadline would be some time in the middle of next week...

Tough choice for me. I really would love an Oceanic course (especially a climb I've rode on before Grin) but Nagasaki is a cool location and has the 1-2 climb punch. Very tough Grin
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Not even a question! A crisp high five for whoever can guess what I voted for Pfft

A believe that Nagasaki opens up for multiple possible winners - even a break is possible. So I went with that, despite Spilak having a much better chance on the other course, looking at Lombardia.

Initially prefered to have the Chirstchurch race cause I'm not a big fan of Japanese racing.. But as I look into it Chirstchurch seems to be too hard and selective (+6200 height gain) and it looks certain to have just a few riders battling it out.
Nagasaki isn't so much a race of resistance, but explosiveness and it's much more open than Christchurch so my vote's there

Deadline for this is Tomorrow, Midday, GMT.

The voting is quite close, so further votes can still change the outcome.

The voting is closed for the WCs and we have a clear winner!

Result
Nagasaki 26 - 17 Christchurch

It was close over the weekend with Christchurch even leading for some time, but Nagasaki dominated for the last 36 hours and takes it comfortably.

We're all heading to Japan for this year's World Championships!

If I were a rider from USA I would feel it really strange to race here

If I were a rider from the Faroe Islands it would feel like I wasn't racing here.

If I was one of my riders from Japan, I would be very pleased to be selected to ride there Embarassed
