From the best preview to the worst race of the season...
No comment really, our 5th place has been secured, hope to see at least one of our riders close to the top 10 though.
Thanks anyway Coraita14 |

This.
I was happy that there was such an effort to be in the break, with Vila and Rinner almost making it and with the race hard from the start wich could suit Rujano.. But the break made it and (very likely) nothing in the pack, got me quite disapointed The AI was horrible..
But thanks for the report anyway Croatia!

Well I guess CT needs a new season-ending race, because AI certainly didn't deliver there. It's as if the AI thought there was an extra lap to go - it's hard to believe that last screenshot is really the peloton preparing for the final kilometre of a race.
A shame that there wasn't anything to see of what happened next there!

That's it, let's cancel Zuri next season.
One time the Zuri sprint worked in our favour... the breakaway stayed away. What a godawful way to secure promotion Thanks for the report Croatia, and congrats to the benefitting teams I guess. What a crap race

Not sure if I should laugh or cry or smile. I picked Marentes cause I knew Chaves was worthless... but Ochoa and Osorio were the ones to bring it home for us. Guess we will get some good points out of this.
On a different note, something very wonky with this stage, how was Chaves not even listed in the games race favorites? That had me already looking for issues from the start of this.

Vichot wins, as I predicted before the season even began Congrats to Kulczyk, lovely finish for a great team and rider.
Sour note to end on with a fail from Roux, losing ground to Repsol and Azteca. I think we would have got more points the other way too So Zuri at least behaved itself, even if it was still not good for us. Thanks for a great report Croatia!

Now to the racing
What a ride by Gilbert!! In what was likely his last chance ever to make a real impact a classic (2018 will be his final season with 73 hills and not good back-ups), and most likely too his last race for Repsol (will probably only continue on a 50k wage), he did what i hoped. Use his amazing flat skills in the last kms to gain the time he could have lost in the hills, or to be perfectly placed for the "weird sprint". A shame that he couldn't reach the leading duo, as it would have been amazing to win this race, and it might have gave us a chance to assault Xero or Azteca.
Agostini taking 8th winning the group sprint is amazing! I truly love this guy. Give him a +2 hill boost and he would be a top puncheur in the division. Sadly i don't think it would be worthy, instead i'll keep him whether we ride in CT or PCT as a top domestique

Well that was just rude ... though a traditional ending for Azteca, with Chaves again finding a way to be consistent. I'm not yet sure how he is 4th in points for the season, guess he never really had any bad finishes, felt like a top 5 guy all season, and did get in the one win. So I can't really complain about him (cough Eastman).

Croatia you little bastard
From hugely underwhelmed to ecstatic! What a way to end the season, and Vichot’s sprint to the line saved Penasa’s 5th place finish overall, ahead of VdH by 1 freaking point!
So we ended up with 2 goals accomplished this season, gonna be an interesting offseason scrimping and saving for a PCT leader
Loved the report in the end, thanks for the congrats guys and the report, Croatia

And that's a wrap! Wyss somehow finding himself just behind the favourites at the finish just about wraps up his season perfectly. Incredible signing for us at such a low wage, and with just 75 HIL, he's been our rider of the year.
Congrats on the win Booker, you deserve the 3rd place more than us and I'm glad it turned out that way. Roux doing enough to keep Xero in the automatic promotion spots in awesome
Thanks for the report Croatia and to everyone else who reported for CT this season. It's been a blast
And now, we party!!!!
