Nokere Koerse's new profile makes the race a lot harder, no more mass sprint today. Everyone looking at Van Aert though, will be an interesting last lap.

Philipsen's first time among the big boys as well, possibly a future Tom Boonen.
(I know it's the most bland comparison, but let's keep it simple for people unfamiliar with the U23's)

Yup, I like him already. But I wonder if he's riding for the right team at the moment. How many cobbled races will they ride this year?

Fabio Jakobsen wins Nokere Koerse in a very impressive way, another promising rider.

Definitely not a course that suited him but Rui Oliveira managed to hold on to the main group, not bad at all. Perhaps he can improve to become a classics rider in the future, too. |

Rui Oliveira in the top-10, excellent result from him one to look for the future in these races, maybe. Great to see such young podium finishers too, Quick Step have really gambled well last transfer season. |

Really good to see the the Oliveira twins starting to show some good results, it looks promising!

I'm genuinely frightened of this, Hodeg and Jakobsen are absolute beasts in the making.. Quickstep, Movistar and Sky seem to have an absolutely brutal squad and at the same time their developing already very-strong youngsters.. These are situations that will be very hard to manage in the future

These teams have a great potential in youngsters, but for most of them need to move in other teams to express all qualities

Pascal Eenkhoorn won the first section of today’s racing day on the Settimana Coppi e Bartali. This afternoon they will ride a team time trial. |

It's called the Kattekoers! One of the oldest and best U23 races, which dickhead thought it was a good idea to change the name?

Hehe, not blaming you for anything. I didn't even know they changed the official name until you linked it.
