Stage 4 and 5 uploaded https://pcmdaily.c...st_1281051
Video 4: https://youtu.be/...
Video 5: https://youtu.be/...
Spoiler Stage 4 slightly underwhelmingly with little to no action but Stage 5 was pretty impressive by Fernandez. I am not sure where that came from but I hope for some more of it at il Giro. CCC with pure depth in a goal race, very nice, but Vittel with some bad luck with the crash.
I'll be gone over the weekend but I saved the Dunkerque & Colombia TTT files on the cloud, so I can post them when it's time.

Amazing effort by Sola in S4 to gain almost 5 minutes on the bunch, and securing a top5 in both Points and KoM, but the final stage was a total disaster for the team, with Rabottini slidding down to 18th and Sola 29th

I correctly predicted who'd win! Ok, that wasn't too difficult. Ruben Fernandez had a great race, CCC must be pleased with 3 riders in the top 10, well done. I can't complain about Fuglsang's 12th place with so many good climbers in the race. And at least it allowed Aviva riders to join breakaways on three consecutive days, the sponsor is pleased.

Yeah, three riders in the top 10 is really good, but I was hoping that other our riders will score at least at the end in the GC.
Oh yes, we are pleased with that performance.
VDK looking good at the moment. All I need is Bodnar and Komisarek to do it nice on last stage, an ITT.
I really like Ochoa. He might not be the greatest rider in the world but he already was in so many successful breakaways that I think it's our only hope at Giro: him and the breakaway.
Thanks for the reports! |

Unfortunately Caruso had an awful S3, otherwise 4th could have been possible, instead he "only" got 9th. At least we had some nice breakaway appearances with Cambianca. Thanks for the reports Shonak!
VDK is going well so far, Erdin's really surprising me. Now we really need some luck in the TT lottery.

This boosts the moral after a so far pretty bad season (except omloop and strade bianche). Two stages GC and Points classification Will be enough for the team partners i hope

Good ride for Hirt in Trentino, and I like Onofrei is attacking this often

I didn't expect Politt to survive the first three De Panne stages, but he did and he has a shot at challenging for a Top 10 overall in the TT now.

Last Stage of the Ster ZLM Tour is up: https://pcmdaily.c...st_1280885
Spoiler A good race for me in the end, although Degenkolb was way off the pace on stages 4 and 5. He hung on for a top 5 in the GC, which was the target. Makes up a little for not being able to take him to the non-WT cobbles.

Wow did not expect to see Campaenerts on the podium. Gruzdev also very good in 9th.Castro a bit disappointing so far behind but solid team performance all around. Thanks bikex.

Stannard very active, first attacking with Turgot, then alone... didn't quite work out, but 3rd is an excellent result. Van Winden must have been on top form, too. What happened to Thomas? The top favourite 9'16 behind.

And again Shonak got lucky. That team is for sure the big winner of the early season!

That was quite a weird finish in the Rheden Gp as Cancellara and Lavery basically just rode to the line but 2nd is still a very good result. Thanks for the report Bikex.

Trentino was a bummer, Kozhateyev was doing an amazing race, going 6th overall and a crash brought him out of the Top10..
De Panne is looking good so far, only the TT left and Flakemore and Oliveira still in contention, plus Kern with an unexpected strong back-to-back sprint.
Rheden a slight disapointment, there was a very good depth but none of them was able to break even the Top20
And Campania.. well Flakemore was very good, Martin came up short and that was a bit disapointing but a solid result nonetheless.
Congratz to all respective winners! And thank you Shonak for keeping this insane report pace.

Good to see so many ex-Bunzl riders getting great results everywhere. Particularly nice to see McLay and Lavery winning.
We, meanwhile, are a one-man team at the moment. But Phinney is a pretty good one-man team to be fair.
Development team riding aggressively and consistently as well. Nothing to panic about.
