Unexpected 2nd for our U23 classics rider Smith plus 2 more in top 10 at Bishkek keeps our U23 title hopes on track.
Good to see Matthews trying in the flatter Pais Vasco stages.
Happy to see "old boy" Edmondson getting a GC win.
Thanks for the incredible pace!

Serry looks good, I'm glad no decent offers came in this winter

Pais Vasco finished now https://pcmdaily.c...st_1279446
Quite a race tbh
Videos: https://youtu.be/... & https://youtu.be/...
Spoiler Nice how Bananito and Barguil got something out of it with stage wins respectively and a late surge to the podium. Mollema surely a worhty winner here overall though with two stage wins, however stage 3 is still rather weird considering the time gaps so he got very lucky here against Barguil particularly. Surprised at how underperforming Kwiatek was, who in my book is the best puncheur atm.

Great race by Serry until stage 5. He did good, but I didn't see any support for him thrughout the race even though we have rider like Wellens and Henao there. Drop from 3rd to 12th in 2 stages is very unfortunate, his time trial wasn't even all that bad.
Guess we should've extended Mollema's contract after all, well done TVM

Nice to see Izagirre listening to my activity concerns
Betancur with a good showing is appreciated, Kwiatek the mysterious why-not-better rider.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Also an early suggestion for next year's calendar, can a couple of the earlier WT cobbled races be moved to the last week of February? Only one WT race in Feb and March is overloaded!
Yup, perhaps 2 additional CT cobbled races in february would fit right in.

Disaster in Mallorca. Decent in Pais Vasco. Stunning pace you are setting Polanc really needs to step up his game!

Wow Pais Vasco was horrible! Didn't expect it to be this bad. Hills are a complete write-off this season it seems.

Wow Shonak, stunning pace! Not a great Mallorca or Pais Vasco here, Bennett and Rojas switching up who is good and who is bad between stages doesn't help

More solid points for us in Vasco. Kreuziger did do well, and that bodes well for the rest of the season. Konig impressive too, shame he had 1 slightly worse day, but 11th still yields solid points.

I still need time to realize how heavily I failed in Mallorca, having the Top 2 favourites and some good depth and not even getting a Top 5 out of it...
Mohoric with a decebt ride, bringing us on par in Pais Vasco. Very good start for Barguil though, what a ride and some nice planning. I remember why I really wanted Mollema last year. And very nice to see Kreuziger and Kangert on a run.
Congrats to Vittel, they achieved so much his season already. Same for Aviva and Balkan really, also Cool Runnings and Bosch going well so far.

I bet Abhiskek is feeling foolish now for not predicting a higher finish for Vittel. They seem to be running away with the CT title. One reason might be that Yellow Jersey didn't restrict his recruitment by role-playing, even the two Frenchmen in the French team could be an accident. Bosch on the other hand only picked Germans and a few Austrians, so a lot of role-playing.
Basically impossible to rank teams by how much they stick to their sponsor's nation. A Canadian team like Spidertech has a much harder time than Veranclassic, which have over 350 Belgian riders to choose from. Though An Post deserves to be at the top of a fictional ranking with their Ireland focus, there are only 33 Irish riders in the db and An Post employs 16 of them.

Two teams out of my predicted top 3 are doing well. That's as accurate as predictions get

And the other comes from scoring over 400 points on a CT.2 race

Yeah it's true. It is my first ever season tho and I didn't want to put many restrictions as to what results I could achieve. And honestly I could have never imagined to be having the success I'm having. But I do plan to focus on French and Swiss riders a lot more next season.. Jeanesson is one of my main riders tho, and Sicard will also lead the team this season so they are definetly riders I want to keep and that are very important for the team.
Similar on MG (although I own half the existing Andorran riders ), I planned on getting talents from all around the world, and it turned out a very diverse group with lots of potential that I enjoy a lot having.

And yes indeed! Wow February is already over, went straight like a bullet. Happy with National Capital Tour, although I feel like victory was possible I'm happy with the big GC depth in the end, aswell as U25 and Teams classification.
Congratz Wiggle! I had cold sweats ever since I saw Geraint 2nd in the ITT
