A clear mistake of Rabottini trying to follow the first attacks in the mountain stage, as later he could only be 11th. And great to finish fourth in the final stage, but why it had to be a breakaway taking the win...

Those time gaps on the last stage look very weird?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

The stage is weird every year, largely a lottery. Comparison to last year: https://pcmdaily.c...st_1207454

Nice result for Looyen in Bishek. Looking at the startlist, a 6th was a logical result, so i'm happy with it

Thanks Shonak for the great number of results posted. Good job by Dima to get himself into the break and secure himself a GC podium.
Very happy to see ICBC doing so well in these early season races!
Vittel being the team of the season so far with lots of their riders scoring hugely all over the place.
I posted also the last two stages of Volta ao Algarve: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1279309
Sorry Shonak I had to invade your post for the last stage as I forgot to reserve myself a second post. Hope you don't mind. |

I vote that Shonak does all the reports! A great Tour of Oman and now a stage for Schorn on Mallorca. While Bikex's Algarve was a complete bust, a terrible ITT by Dowsett, on paper he should have been 6th or 7th, instead he ends 15th. I hope he wasn't trying on stage 4 where he lost another 6 minutes. 17th for Valgren is acceptable, Schorn did well, too.
Great fight between the Viittel team mates, just one second between Martin and Flakemore. Ulissi got close as well, great final stage.

Wow, february goes fast and furious thanks to Shonak
Ulissi winning the stage/3rd in final GC is great news. And Komisarek doing his job. Do he seriously needed 3 seasons to do so?
Komisarek 2nd and 4th in Mallorca?
Are we going to promote?
Did I finally send our riders to properly races? |

Now it's time to dominate in Mallorca. Our dev team, especially Buchko and Alves, are quite underwhelming so far...

Really nice to see a 1-2 in the Algarve. Weird cicrumstances I should say, never expected Flakemore to top Martin in the TT and hang on so well in the final day, he deserved the win just for that Congratz CCC Ulissi deserved that win!
Oliveira underperformed in the TT and overperformed in the hills.. weird but 11th in the end so I'll take it with a smile.
And it's amazing, Robert winning in Mallorca, it's unbelievable every race so far (except Akaroa) has been a massive success, I am overwhelmed!
And thank you Shonak, this is an incredible report speed

Too bad that Freddie Ludvigsson missed on podium and the U25 classification.
I'm eager to see what would my team do in Mallorca

What a month for Aviva, too. Two stages for Schorn on Mallorca! First stage was totally flat and our sprinter couldn't even beat his lead-out men, but the small incline at the end of stage 2 was enough to snatch the stage in a photo finish. And on the final stage he was able to do what we hoped for, making it into the top group of 30 riders unlike most other sprinters and winning that stage. To top it off Poels ends 4th in the GC, a slight shame he missed the Edmondson/Kangert move, but still a strong performance once more. Two great signings, I'm very pleased.
