Also, I do like how a while ago you claimed that all sprinters weren't real cyclists but are now taking offence to me calling a sprinter who hasn't won much "average".

the point is that Viviani we are watching now is not 28 years past Viviani, this is a developed rider, and yes I will be surprised if is not going to win stages at next Giro

Average was possibly too harsh a comment.
My point was you can't use a win in Dubai to show what a great sprinter he is when his past record on the road isn't great. Yes, he has the odd decent result here and there, but all sprinters do because there are so many sprint stages available.
But he is 29 and has 1 grand tour win and a small scattering of WT level wins. Caleb Ewan is 23 and has two GT stage wins already. How many GT wins do the Great or even good sprinters have?
He might push on at Quickstep. But there isn't really much evidence to support it up to this point.
You can't use GT wins as any indication when 1) he barely gets to ride them and 2) he has no support when he rides them.
I like Quick Step and has therefore taken an interest in most of their riders and Viviani is a super humble guy who probably has reached 80% of his potential at Sky. So I root for him and the team. And as I said, he is more versatile than given credit for which is the most important ability for a sprinter for me. Gaviria is their man, but Viviani wll have plenty of opportunities to shine throughout the year. |

Apparently Gronewegen was really angry with team mechanics today. Claimed the bottom bracket in both bikes were, and I quote, "fucked up".
He used the F word multiples times in an interview.. Not a pretty thing for sure, I'm very negatively surprised

Colbrelli had also mechanical problem in last km with chain stuck on 53, impressive McNulty too, but Colbrelli was amazing, never lost first position on that ramp

yes, also Danny Van Poppel, I can't understand him, he won a mass sprint in Vuelta with Trek and then signed for sky, with no partecipation in GT in two seasons, why that choice? and probably the same story for Doull and Halvorsen...so much talent wasted there...

Impeessive race from Magnus Cort, with little to no help on most stages. Especially today on the last 100 meter he seems to be the farstest but noone to help him get in position.
Hopeless tv though, missing the favorites attacking the climb.
