And who can blame him - while he wants to concentrate on education citing the main reason for "retiring", IMO the REAL reason why he left cycling is the death of Chad Young at the Tour of Gila which perhaps has left huge psychological effect on Costa.
Which is a shame since in PCM16 (2017 db) I've managed to win a Giro with him.

exactly my thoughts...vary bad for US that in the same year they lost Talansky that could ride at top level for another 4/5 seasons and him in early years

Froome will start at Ruta del Sol.
We team Sky just don't give a damn. Our program for this year is Giro and Tour
Damn it tastes bad. |

Maybe they're assuming not participating is looking more suspicious?
I wonder if Froome can peform during all this pressure.. |

De Negri that moved from Nippo Vini Fantini to a CT this winter, has been suspended due a non-negative test in december for steroids
https://www.cyclin...ed-by-uci/
probably affected WC choice for Giro? but in 21\12 maybe he wasn't under the care of the older team

I don't think so, they have invited Bardiani and its double doping case revealed the day before the Giro.

Nibali to ride Ronde this year.

Will be quite exciting to see him ride there, although he likely won't be in top shape.

yes, I'm excited too, and curious to see how he can perform in a classic like RVV, probabliy a decision with a look to TdF cobble stage too, despite the profile is quite different...

Given that Nibali is my favourite rider and that Ronde is my favourite race, it's a marriage made in heaven for me.

He can definitely handle the distance, takes the cobbles well enough, but I think the hills are a bit short for him. He lacks the explosiveness of other riders.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Ironically enough, he might find the return to the winning ways if he races well enough in Italy. |
