Must have been a bit underwhelming watching Kirsh being outsprinted by Vasilyiv.
A little. I'd have backed Kirsch in a head to head sprint, so a shame to let the other guy attack away so close to the line.
But having the luck of Kirsch being this stage's Vosekalns - attacking first when none of the GC guys fancy it - I can't really be unhappy with a 2nd place!

Hmm, Festina are getting their win in this race sooner than my team. What a surprise after all that moaning. Congrats SotD!
Another decent stage result by Velits. But nothing really special about lower top 10 finishes in a GT for GC riders if no time gaps... Maybe an idea to consider could be to expand F1 style time bonuses for whole top 10 to other races like GTs. I am not sure about impacts on AI, but maybe it could work out nicely. Could be fun if on a stage like this Kolesnikov moves up a spot in GC thankfully to a decent stage result.

Oh yes! That's great.
At first I Saw Bayly in the break and thought "Damn, would have been a perfect Kastrantas stage", but was still very pleased as it smelled like a stage top 5, and some KOM points which could be accumulated later on.
Then I saw the group caught and thought it was an opportunity missed, but then the duo attack for the win! That is just great!
Many have Said it before, but thumbs up for the reports. They are extremely well written, and gives an itchy feeling whenever one of "your team's" riders gets a mention.
Thanks Roman :-) This is a much better way to Keep things alive than if Velits dropped back.
This doubles my points for the race btw :-p

Two of the transport stages done. This is one being a bit scarier so satisfied with results like this!

First wanted to say, it`s annoying that on such stage neither Villella nor Boom do attack as they are decent puncheurs in this field.
Then I saw Boom most likely stayed with Olivier and Villella lost 10min. Did later crash? Feels weird as one of the better puncheurs to lose that much on that stage.
Other than that seems fair that Festina, Vesuvio and eBuddy had a solid stage result. Not their best race so far and hence nice to see them win (well eBuddy is still doing okay I think with Brambilla). |

All that mattered there was to get through the stage safe, and we did with Galta and potential breakaway riders Nesset and Stake Laengen, which is very good before the coming mountain stages.
Also an unexpected stage win for Festina, who somehow is likely to find a way to keep up with Moser, I guess Congratulations, SotD!
Fingers crossed Holst Enger will be able to overperform on the next stage, as that could very well be his and other sprinters final chance. If stage 15 is raced brutally, similar to what has been done already this race, I'm not sure he and other sprinters will survive. |

Too bad Aru couldn't catch the leading duo to get a shot at the stage win.
I guess Sinkeldam still might have some kind of injury. It was very weird to see him dropped from the breakaway group. Then again, I don't really know how strong the other riders were in terms of hills.
Really hoping the previous sprint stage was just a fluke for Grosu and he will be back tomorrow.

Another hillstage where Abal dont loose time, Im happy with that.
Is it time for a breakaway in a flat stage or will we and Puma - SAP reel it in again if so can Ahlstrand deliver big time? |

Strava would like to work for a Top 20 performance by Guarnieri, too.

Cool to see Bayly taking a stage here. Festina still on fire! Always a pity to not join any breakaways, as we only have two or three useful domestiques for Morton anyway (actually, just two climbers with Dyball and Canty).. but anyway, congrats, SotD. And thanks, SN. I will hope for a stage-win in the final week then (yeah, we took the TTT, but we do not have a single road stage win this year)

Bit meh... Prevar should at least have done something on that hilly stage, and the one stage a break survives, we have Pibernik in it... On the one day Kochetkov could've had some hope... My team's tactics are weird.
At least Scarponi is still doing fine, and seeing him trying to attack is very encouraging, and I am quite sure he can regain his top 20 position.

Festina from zeros to heroes. Two back-to-back random victories should switch the pressure balance again to Moser's side.
Brilliant day for us:
- Avelino avoiding any chances of getting on the podium therefore conserving energies not having to do interviews and stuff.
- The team missing every chance of a triumphant breakaway, allowing our boys to focus their efforts on our real strength...
- Crashes! Silva was on the right spot at the right time to score us another elegant dive on the tarmac.

We surely need to join the breakaways. When Stake Laengen tried his luck on a previous mountain stage, I can't see any reason for why we're not doing anything on these flat stages.
After all, Holst Enger has shown again and again that he struggles against his sprint rivals, which is fair seeing who they are, which makes it even more sensible to switch to some kind of plan B and go on the attack. Hopefully AI recognizes that sooner rather than later.
Congratulations on another win, SotD! That's way too much of the good stuff seeing the pretty mediocre team you sent here |

Would have been a perfect stage for Marzuki to join the break and get a chance at a win. Surely makes more sense for him than going on a mountain raid. Alas, the team apparently decided backing Guarnieri was smart them fools lol

Good to see Porsev finally sprinting, he always is better after mountain/hilly stages. So there's hope for stage 17 and 21. Now let's pray to the PCM gods that one of my climbers get in the BotD for KoM points or stage win(s). Come on Ignatenko, Novikov, Foliforov and Shalunov!

Oh my holy *biiiip*.
Did not see that coming. Bayly did well this season, but this is just huge!
From a race that was utter bollocks because Coquard couldn't be bothered, to a race that well exceeds the expected in just 2 stages is amazing. Great timing aswell as we were running short of opportunities.
