wow, that was weird and not really good for us.
Bystrom beeing better then Haugard Jensen on this stage but will be slower on both mountain stage and that TT.
Haugard Jensen loosing about 6 mins to Bystrom last say 40 kms.
It´s time for Wellens to really deliver in the mountains now |

Slagter on another level there, what an epic stage. I think he will be extremely hard to beat for Amador. I wouldn't expect too much time to be lost in the mountain stage, so it will likely come down to how fast he is in the TT.
Really thrilling report Aquarius, thank you!

For me, this is too weird to be enjoyable. Obviously it sucks to see Lecuisinier fuck up like this, but most riders did, and with Koretzky taking the KOM and 7th GC for the moment it isn't necessarily a bad result, in case he can hang on in the top 10 of the next stage, while Lecuisinier climbs up a bit. But we came here with podium ambitions and a hope of a top 20. Instead we are probably getting 2 top 15s but at most one in the lower end of the top 10. That clearly sucks Big time, and makes the gamble absolutely worthless. Also a crap prologue, Coppel crashing and Vlatos abandoning sees this race as one to forget.
Quite a problem when I needed this race to level out the loss of the Giro.

Wow, what a stage! Some of these hilly stages are just straight out crazy. Happy to see two of my former riders in Juul-Jensen and Meyer with a couple of great rides! Will be interesting to follow the last stages now.

What a carnage! Love this race, even though losing the KoM jersey was unfortunate.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Stupid AI...
In this way either De Bie should have gained a lot more or Dekker a lot less.
Great stage for Slagter and Amador. 1-2 almost secured I'd think. |

What a day really, suddenly my season looks alot better. Looks like the hilly training paid off, really happy now ^^
Clearly a plus 5 day slagter, bit insane gaps though, but i cant complain!
Feel for those with big guns who failed miserably! Interesting battle for Amador and Slagter, I guess in normal conditions Amador should take this.

Absolutely thriling race. Wow. And what an amazing report.
Very happy to see Juul Maar going absolutely insane with 160km to go. He didn't win, but still performed way above his stats and more than I could hope for. And hey, maybe a GC top ten now? That's better than Contador would have done anyway.

Wow, another insane effort by Slagter here, even with no help he manages to catch and surpass Amador here, super impressive.
Now he actually stands a chance to defend his GC lead. Cant remember how much a 25km TT will differ, but 2'45 should be an absloute max of what Amador could take back!
Congratz Sotd, turning out to be a pretty solid race for you in the end aswell!

I wish I were a Hugo Boss these days Can't imagine how those two races must feel! Congrats, dev4ever. Can't see Amador close that gap in the TT.
SotD will be happy with Lecuisinier at least getting something nice out of this race. Nice stage win and 5th in GC ain't too bad, I guess. That's good news, imo, as some things really went too weird here.
Another outstanding and thrilling report to follow. Thanks for your efforts!

I mean what a race, what an effort from Slagter here. Our rivals did score a bit, but not that much, so hopefully we can close that gap a bit in ToSA.
Slagter means butcher in my language, which makes this a bit more funny ))

Cannot be happy with the race. Both hilly stages were a big disappointment with unexplainable gaps to far weaker riders (like Juul Jensen)and the GC position won't be good.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Dekker and De Bie for the moment looking really good. That said, still mixed feelings due to the weird hill stage, where De Bie clearly should have been with Juul-Jensen and hence fighting for more even and Dekker not losing 10min on Amador and hence also fighting for more.
Top5 was goal and this is impossible to acchieve. So if both can defend their positions now, this is still a decent race. |
