I am checking the forum every day just to see if daily db got released. I don't want to start my first career (non pro) without it. I hope soon means next week
stop moaning. Those guys are doing this in their free time. They don't earn any mones with it. They also have their own lives, so better be happy when it comes out, instead of moaning.
Agree with Paul.. They could be charging for this to help the site but instead its free for the community. Be kind and patient and you'll be rewarded with a good pack. If you are so worried about it ask politely instead. I would gladly pay for this but like I said it's free so there really isn't much to be upset about.

I agree with the patient part, which the community has been so far.
People have asked for a road map, a progression report or just SOMETHING that could help them understand what's still on the 'to do'-list and what has been finished. Only because a deadline would never be given by the DB-team (and they shouldn't put any pressure on) but I've seen several replies now saying: You are welcome to help it finish. But when you request what still has to be done there is nothing, nada, zero answer.
It's almost November, track season is coming up (= road season is as good as done in europe), what's the use of bringing a '17 version out? By this time it would make even more sense to just go straight to a '18 DB.
I've noticed PCM Focus has slowed down A LOT, forums are as good as dead. Is daily running the same path? No more weekly news, no daily pack (yet), no even small update to give a heads up, ... We all understand there is something called 'a life outside the virtual one' and nobody is telling anyone to give priority to the virtual one at all. But like I said before: a little post saying what should be done (so people can put in their work if they think it's daily-worthy). If the team ends up with 3 shirts of the same team they can still vote on which one makes it, contact the maker to make small changes or use the psd file and credit the Original maker or whatever. And that means more time for real life, less work for the virtual one + faster result.

Communication is the key here.
I'm really sorry about how much time has passed between the Lite Pack release and now, and I take full responsibility for the poor communication between the DB team and the community in the last few months. Personal circumstances have kept me in particular away from being able to work on the EP on a regular basis for the last month and a half, actually more at this point.
The work on the Expansion Pack was pretty much completed around the end of August/start of September, so we don't need any material such as jerseys and stages to be made by the community or by the team itself anymore. Unfortunately, we still needed to convert a few stages around this time 2 months ago, and this meant we couldn't quite release a finished work yet, plus Cyanide promising a patch that eventually got released in the first week of September contributed to the decision of waiting a bit longer to complete all the work, because we didn't want to release one-day patches and such to fix official patches overwriting Local.cdb and such.
By the time the patch got released, all people in the team didn't quite have any time to work on the few final touches the EP needed for different reasons, and the release therefore kept on getting delayed. Unfortunately, this kind of situation persists even today, but I plan on dedicating a lot more time to the EP in the coming weeks, and hope everything can get sorted out and released before no one really cares anymore, for the few people that still can be bothered to play PCM around this time of the year.
I hope you can understand why no word has been spoken about this until today, it just is hard to explain to someone why something like this just hasn't happened yet. I absolutely comprehend how frustrating it can be to just wait for something for months on end without hearing anything about it, and again, I fully apologise for that.

Thanks for the update and really no need to apologise. We are lucky to get such a quality pack for free and waiting a while longer is better than no pack at all!!

No need to apologize Matt, maybe I come around a bit harsh but I also meant it real life beats the virtual one every day. It's just that hearing from the start of september that it is coming very soon, then the patch got released and again we read posts saying 'now that the patch has happened we can finish it up' so people are getting on that hypetrain you know?
It's just that after that when you asked anywhere for just a word about the EP the only thing that got replied is 'you are welcome to help completing it' rather than 'we just need some more stages to be converted, you are welcome to help us'.
I bet if nobody would ask about the it, the motivation to get about it would be less aswell. Even though there's a lot of DB's around today, everybody konws the EP just has it's own class!
I noticed my post was pretty long, (and this one again, with is with this speeching :/)
but it just comes to the first and last line of it really. All of the questions could have been avoided with just a quick news post or whatever. Although I know that if there's personal stuff going on you can't be bothered with a project for a game.
Nobody is shooting anyone, we ( I ) just wanted a little update. Thanks for giving it to us and keep doing what you are doing best when you've got the time. Because nobody on this forum would be happy with half work, not the team & not the community.
Definitely no need to apologise! We (or at least I) just really enjoy playing the daily DB's, especially the EP. Therefore I think a lot of us were looking forward to playing this year's EP as well. I really appreciate all the effort that a small DB team is putting into this DB. I'm waiting for the EP to start a career mode again, I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Thanks for your update and keep up the good work.
