I love Lewis, he is the guy im cheering for every race. And for that reason, and that reason alone, i don't follow him on any sort of social media. Except Facebook, don't read anything.

I don't want to start disliking him Pfft

Why not cheer for someone else then? Someone who's actually likeable? Pfft

If you want genuinely interesting race drivers with real likeable personalities.... pick a different motorsport Pfft

Alonso...

You mean the guy who constantly moans about his teams (McLaren favoring Hamilton, Ferrari not producing a challenge to Red Bull, McLaren not getting a good engine). Who's so aroggant he goes sunbathing mid-session. Who supported (allegedly) his team mate crashing on purpose so he could win a race.
Yeah, totally likeable Pfft

But i love watching him race, because he can do things with a car no other driver on the grid can do. Don't have to like him to appreciate his talent.

I didn't like Alonso for a long time, but he evolved. He became quite a teamplayer and he lost his arrogance.

"It's me or the engine"
No arrogance there Pfft (ignoring the fact the Honda engine is pure dogsh*t this year Pfft)

Give me Button any day. You saw his face at Monaco this year, he just loved to be racing he didn't care what it was.

Well, you can't ignore the fact, that the Honda engine is shit. And when your the highest paid driver and possibly the best driver in the field and you are fighting for low-end points. I would've loved to see Honda stay at McLaren, but I can fully understand his decision. He wants to win, he can win, but the engine can't.
It's not arrogance. It's knowing your own qualities. How is it arrogant to say: "If you can't provide a good car, I will leave, because I want to win."

Indeed, Button is a really nice guy. Sadly he isn't as talented as others.

Alonso could just shut up in public and get on with driving fast. I wouldn't like to be in the McLaren meetings behind the scenes with him, he must be river of swear words and anger. There's a point where he just comes off as whiny, at least to me.

At this point there's only one or two F1 drivers i genuinely like. Perez and Riccardo (and sort of Stroll and Gasly, but don't know them that well yet). Both drivers who just love racing and that shines through everything they do.

Give me the Indycar drivers. Or Nascar drivers. Or BTCC drivers. Or WRX drivers. Almost full grids on just happy, smiling, humans who only want to go fast.

I agree with you on that. It's not very productive.

Palmer will be kicked from Renault starting from the US Grand Prix in a couple weeks time. Sainz will take his place earlier than expected, meaning Kvyat will return to Toro Rosso and partner up with Gasly.

My brain hurts.

TheManxMissile
Well this boosts Kvyat's chance of a drive next year, not brining in another new driver to partner Gasly indicates they must be considering Daniil for the spot next year. Otherwise it's a wasted chance to give a youngster more experience ahead of 2018.

Pretty much kills Palmers career off now. Without a chance to put in good performances in the final races no team will look at him. I'm sure Williams will go with Massa now, if Kubica doesn't take the spot. (Di Rest is still in the conversation, but he'll have to really out-do Kubica's times in the Hungary testing)

Can be also that Red Bull doesn't have a youngster who can apply for a Super License right now

Malaysia 2016 disagrees. Pfft

Granted, it would require a massive Mercedes choke for the Brit to lose the title. Incredible how Ferrari has fudged things up since that early crash at Singapore, I’d love to know what would have happened had they not knocked each other out there...

Did you say that in 2012 and 2016?

If Vettel didn't bump into him on purpose on Baku, and crash into VER on Singapore, he could still be with a chance to win this. Luck has played a part, but so has skill.

sgdanny
Kinda has ruined the exciting part of the season, but all of the blame should be on Ferrari and Vettel for not doing a good enough job on the Technical side of things. Just kinda annoyed that its in favor for a I dislike.

On the brighter side of things good to see fellow Dane KMag back into the points, good stuff Smile

So finally 2 races with no bad luck for Max and finishes well in front of Ric. Meh, this season could have been so much better, could have challenged Bottas for place 3 in the championship even I think.

hillis91
A lot of lockups and engine problems in this one. But at least Hamilton takes it Smile
