Last Chance to get your Vanendert, an outstanding CT leader. The asking price is at least 65.
Nieve could also be acquired. We are willing to pay 85 on top for a team that takes him.

Interesting that Kwiatek and Veelers are up there from my team, didn't think I was honestly overpaying Veelers that much.
Also, surprising that De Gendt didn't make the list given he asked for 1000 after his Giro podium.
Don't have his wage on hand to check where he would've ended up though.
Thanks for the post though, is interesting to think about.

I've come up with a new table which might be more useful - if the riders score the points you can't call them overpaid. So I asked Bikex for a table with the prestige points from last season and managed to match it up with the db of last year's teams. Obviously, how many points each rider collects is due to a number of factors, smart season planning, a bit of luck and so on. But here you are, the 50 best riders from the 2017 ICL season sorted by Prestige Points/Wage ("Bang for your buck" ):
Last Name | DIV | AVG | Wage | Points | Points/Wage | Lutsenko | WT | 76.0 | 350 | 1856 | 5.30 | Van Poppel | WT | 79.1 | 580 | 2665 | 4.59 | Contador | WT | 81.1 | 775 | 3111 | 4.01 | RodrÃguez | WT | 78.4 | 460 | 1820 | 3.96 | Herklotz | WT | 75.4 | 330 | 1271 | 3.85 | Vanendert | CT | 76.6 | 400 | 1449 | 3.62 | Chevrier | WT | 74.4 | 320 | 1106 | 3.46 | Herrada | WT | 76.9 | 375 | 1284 | 3.42 | Roche | CT | 75.9 | 350 | 1129 | 3.23 | Haussler | CT | 75.5 | 340 | 1056 | 3.11 | Fuglsang | CT | 75.8 | 440 | 1358 | 3.09 | De Gendt | WT | 76.9 | 470 | 1405 | 2.99 | Urán | WT | 76.6 | 630 | 1879 | 2.98 | A. Nice one Ripley, I was actually planning on doing the same thing!
Very interesting that I can't see any of my riders on the overpaid list, or on the best value list either. Part of that is that I focused on WT races for my main stars last year, but it's still quite unusual to have such an evenly balanced team.

Cheers guys! I can expand upon this endlessly and - as I warned Bikex in a PM - take the fun out of the ICL with statistics just like baseball.
Here's another table, the 16 sprinters of last season with SPR 78+ in descending order by their sprinting capabilities:
Last Name | Team | AVG | SP | Wage | Points | Pts/Wage | Kittel | CarbonSports Cycling | 81.4 | 82 | 920 | 2634 | 2.86 | Demare | The Spark Project p/b Bollé | 80.1 | 82 | 1530 | 1925 | 1.26 | Cavendish | Suntory Lucozade Sport | 80.6 | 81 | 820 | 1309 | 1.60 | Greipel | Allianz Cycling Team | 80.6 | 81 | 900 | 1251 | 1.39 | Van Poppel | Filliers - Mora Pro Cycling Team | 79.1 | 80 | 580 | 2665 | 4.59 | Guardini | Saeco - Cannondale | 79.3 | 80 | 580 | 1221 | 2.11 | Bouhanni | Team Peugeot | 79.4 | 80 | 1400 | 1805 | 1.29 | Fenn | Team Cymru Wales (CT) | 78.3 | 79 | 580 | 1474 | 2.54 | Degenkolb | Celesio Pro Cycling | 79.1 | 79 | 850 | 2039 | 2.40 | Nizzolo | SAP - Bianchi | 77.6 | 79 | 420 | 464 | 1.10 | Kristoff | Allianz Cycling Team | 77.9 | 78 | 680 | 1593 | 2.34 | Sagan | CarbonSports Cycling | 79.2 | 78 | 1005 | 1959 | 1.95 | Alaphilippe | Leopard - Evonik Pro Cycling | 77.3 | 78 | 805 | 1009 | 1.25 | Coquard | Allianz Cycling Team | 78.2 | 78 | 750 | 859 | 1.15 | Viviani | Italo - Ventilair | 77.6 | 78 | 630 | 686 | 1.09 | Blythe | Suntory Lucozade Sport | 77.0 | 78 | 400 | 431 | 1.08 |
All were riding for WT teams except for Andrew Fenn. Obviously, the other stats matter a lot, too, as well as the quality of the lead-out. Still, paying Demare nearly twice as much as Alaphilippe, for example, turned out to be justified.

I could have had interest, but 550 wage for a rider that's going to be in decline after this season is too much. And I don't have any money for him left

That points wage ratio by Van Popple is insane for a sprinter.

@hillis: Guardini earns more now and you paid a fair transfer fee, but for sure he should still do very well.
@trekbmc: Nah, there were worse sprinters around. Saeco's two top sprinters, Cimolai and Pelucchi (both SPR 77), despite being on their minimum wage, only ended up with ratios of 0.39 and 0.33.
@Shonak: Van Poppel had an amazing season, he was 4th in the prestige rankings and came 2nd only behind Lutsenko in my previous table of all riders. Well done, Ollfardh!
