As always I hope one of the Swedes can bring a result, most likely Lucas Eriksson if any. After all heder did show some potential some years age at the men junior championship taking a 6th and year arter that 7th.
Anyone knowing approximate finish time? Do I catch home after work... |

I'm in Bergen as a journalist from Denmark. The winner in u23 will be either Halvorsen, CP, Hodeg, Philipsen, Cosnefroy or Albanese.
The course is not hard enough for climbers to win it, nor a late break away (unless CP goes mad again like in Tour of Denmark) as the last climb comes too early.
I'm really missing Lawless also.
Also, we, the written press, had 3 questions together to Froome, Dumoulin and Roglic on Mount Fløyen in mixed zone so they could make it to the podium ceremony ... felt pretty cool when I got 2 out of three on Froome and Dumoulin and 1 on Roglic in front of Cyclingnews etc.  |

To think six (!) years ago he was riding with Quick Step and had to wait all this time to finally prove his talent. Love the unpredictability of the U23, looking at the course I'm not sure if Halvorsen can retain his win from last year, but his motivation of racing at home might have an impact in this matter. Junior, not U23, but sort of close
Last time that happened was.... 2015 Richmond with Chloe Dygert (who was an impressive 4th in the Elite ITT this year, incredible talent who's done really well this year and last with Sho-AirTwenty in the US against real good riders).
Italy is pumping out good young females at the moment. Elisa Balsamo and Lisa Morzenti did well last year, and also Medals this year for Alessia Vigilia and Letizia Paternoster. But like with all things, it will be about how these Juniors transition to Elite level racing.

First attacks with 2 hours left to ride, Jakobsen seems to be 30 seconds down on the peloton after just one hard ridden hill. Maybe a mechanical though.
In the meantime, McNulty tries to bridge to the very cool break consisting of anything but classic cycling countries.
