It does not pay off, no, and it's not a strategy I was planning to follow either  I just had some extremely bad assessment of how much some managers would pay for some riders and I even got unlucky with some riders that some managers did not even bid on.
In the last couple of years I bidded on a selected group of riders and got unlucky with all of them going for higher prices than I went for, so this time around I placed bids on all the good ones I liked hoping to get a couple of them or so, not quite expecting to get so many hehe. Definitely need to find a good middle path between the old strategy and the new one for later years

I made a dumb decision R1 and dumber in R2. high risk and now a very low reward This wasn't me trying to hold other team's targets hostage for high fees. Every rider I attempted to buy was ideally to be used in my squad, since they were all focus nations or focus terrains. That's why I didn't go for Martin or Demare or talents.
Now we're done, go buy my riders. For riders that aren't up yet, PM me.

Just a quick FYI...
My recent bids for free transfers on youngsters Guan and Koejoe are as high as we will bid on them - we will not pay a transfer fee for either. If either team (CarbonSports or CCC) intends to accept our offers, we would like to hear from them ASAP since this might affect our other transfer plans.
I can also confirm that TVM will be accepting An Post's offer for Brent Bookwalter unless a rival team outbids them, but negotiations for Chad Haga are ongoing.

Verona and Intxausti still available. Intxausti won Giro del Trentino last year. Both have Prestige points of over 500 accumulated last season, Intaxusti even 773. Gallopin is also on the market, a long-proven dom with a great allaround stat package. This is literally CT gold right there for taking.
They are only being sold because I want to diversify my squad. After this transfer round, I think I may increase the asking price, too, since it'll be harder for me to obtain an alternative.
