420 to Grupo Argos - Quala

Thanks.

Fifth rider in a row I lost to a diceroll, my luck in this game is just..

wouldn't have minded if you won this - I couldn't think that I get Uran for such money in the FA 1.2 back

I guess that's my fault, as I had both him and Moser in the FA 1.2, and I choose to bid on Moser instead of Uran

I guess not, because the FA market is quite a lot different after the 1. round and checking every rider would be loads of work.

No. Now it will be first round of possible transfers between teams. After that there will be FA Round 2.

My two bids were on Honigh (145 beaten by 150) and Costa (815 beaten by 900). Not too disappointed really, Costa went for more than I wanted to pay and the extra cash on Honigh can be easily used elsewhere. With both Meijers and Honigh I think Lufthansa is now my second favourite team by default Pfft

Well, thanks Smile. But we're in deep deep trouble with our transfers so far! Nice team for all terrains you got there though Wink

That's the benefit of being in ICL for four seasons, we weren't this evenly spread before I made the WT either. Looking back at my first season's team (stats at the end of this post) I think yours was probably a stronger group.

there is a limit for the amount of races a team can enter right?

I found this (from 2015): "CT teams have 160 race days which will majorly be used on CT.1 and CT.2 races. They are also allowed to apply for wildcards for WT races. But the WT races they apply for aren't allowed to have more than 50 racedays combined."

Yeah there's a limit on race days, not actual races. One-day races count for 2 race days.

Looking at last year's planning sheet the WT teams raced all WT races and 45 CT days I think.

SSJ2Luigi
then I might be in a situation where instead of the usual "I don't have the rider race days to fill a season" I don't have enough race days available for all riders to meet their minumun amount required

Rules Announcement: Age of Decline

Hate me guys, hate me

To prevent stat inflation and riders monopolies, the ICL administration has decided to extend their dynmaic system in terms of Stats Evolvement by another factor. The rule change should be a further step towards divergent flaws in the statting system and adds another thrilling element to the end of the season.

So far the age of decline has been a constant factor in the ICL database. From now on, there will be the possibility of an earlier age of decline every season. A certain percentage of riders will see their Age of Decline reduced by one. The higher the average of a rider is, the higher is the chance to face an earlier decline. Also, the results of the previous season and thus their score in the Prestige Ranking will be a factor. Each season the riders will be choosen randomly within the given framework and mostly independent on former reductions; however there is a slightly reduced chance that riders with former reductions will be victim of another one again.

These reductions will take place between the end of the racing season, which will be after the World Championships, and the beginning of the offseason. That implicates,
that a riders decline will be directly implied in the following offseason (Riders Development).

Two major goals should be reached by this rule change:

- further prevention of high stat monopolies and stat inflation
- more speculative opportunities and another dynamic option to the gameplay (from now on you can't be sure whether your rider declines)

Example:

Sep Vanmarcke (Grupo Argos - Quala)
30 years old, Age of Decline 31

Average 80,9 --> higher chance of reduced AoD

End of the season --> Vanmarcke gets chosen for Potential Reduction

Age of Decline: 31 --> 30

Riders Development: Sep Vanmarcke will decline at the end of the season (ICL18)

Spoiler
Sep Vanmarcke (Grupo Argos - Quala) currently is 30 years old. His Age of Decline is 31, he has no Potions of Youth assigned. If he is chosen to face the Age of Decline reductions after ICL18, his Age of Decline will be reduced by one. That means, that in the Riders Development he'll be 30 years old with an Age of Decline at 30. That results in an instant decline, so that Vanmarcke will have reduced stats at the beginning of ICL19.

Interesting. Shouldn't be much of an issue for my team. Grin

I appreciate the dynamic of ICL (training, AoDs) so it's cool to see the game take another step into this direction of providing an uncertain and dynamic enviroment. This is a USP towards the ManGame that is really exciting.

If the rule succeeds, depends on the probability of the hit within the time frame of a top rider, about 8 to 10 years. If it's too high this might actually turn into a statdeflation, where top riders are missing and a selective few keep dominating, as we have had with the four top GTs rider in the past 4 seasons, excl Purito and TVG. Maybe if the probability of a AoD decrease is too high, the time frame of the potential hit may be reduced. I don't really understand if a 18 or 25 year old rider needs to worry about AoDs too? If this is the case, developing a talent fast turns into more uncertainty since you neither know the potential limit of them nor the time you will get to enjoy them. Thinking about it, it's definitely an interesting new rule but I still like to see the home-grown talents to enjoy their time on the top for longer than presumably 2-3 years.

I'd appreciate some more insight into the workings of the formula and rates of probability for a AVG80 rider.

In my opinion, the age of decline was too low already, 31 is not realistic at all imho.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I think I have to agree with Ollfardh. Many riders have their best results even after that age which doesn't necessary mean they are weaker than few years earlier Wink.
