Really Froome for points jersey contest the intermediate and the finish .
Entirely up to him if he wants it of course but would've thought a bit of goodwill in the peloton and beyond would've been worth more but what do I know - "amazing"

If a rider can win Points Jersey along with GC, that's something you shouldn't let lie.
Trentin would've deserved it if he had won it. But Froome took the risk there and deserves it 100%. |

I don't get why people are mad/upset by what Froome has done. I don't see why he has to give that jersey for free.

Well, if you are sayinng' jersey is no gifts' where are the times where froome was waited when he crashed on ventoux. I agree with LeMond, I will now support the attacking side when ANY yellow jersey crashes.

I think context is important.
It can be a class act to wait for a crashed yellow jersey.
But it can also be ridiculous, like it was this year.
Every situation is different.
But in this situation, Froome was damn right to mix it up and defend his points jersey. You may not like Froome, but you can't blame him for that. |

Absolutely he doesn't have to and I imagine that's exactly his perspective, fair enough. I would suggest he loses more inside and outside of the peloton though but he can make his own choice on what's important.

I'm just sad he did it, he had every right to but it still makes me sad that Trentin couldn't get the jersey not like I want to see Froome win another thing.
