Is there a chance that Contador will not retire?
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

He lied about that before, so there is always a chance.

And i would like to remind some people here, that we are talking about proven doper, that was stripped of some of his wins because of that. You are celebrating one of the guys that actively helped to ruin the image of the sport, with especially lame excuse to justify his domination.

Kelderman has indicated that he's planning to attack today. Yet to see if that will actually happen, but hopefully it's true

Why would he though? Is he hoping to finish second?

2nd is better than 3rd.
4th or 5th is also worse than 3rd

No risk no fun. Zakarin will probably also attack.

Just remind him he can't enjoy Sagan's wins because Sagan has been an ass a few times before. |

That's not his point. We are talking about Contador's entire career, not only "the current racing". If one wants to debate on whether Contador is the greatest cyclist of all time or not, of course one has to take his past into consideration.
Although he might be an exciting rider to watch, his past includes his doping scandal.

Also a Sagan fanboy complaining about Contador fandom is too delicious to ignore.

Merckx tested positive 3 times. No one talks about it when saying he's the greatest rider of all time. That being said, he's the greatest rider of all time.

Astana joined in on the fun. At least we have MAL now when Contador retires.

Doesn't excuse the doping but he tested positive (and like most, disputed it) for Amphetimines which actually have a negative effect on performance, they just thought it improved performance back then.

Yep, it seems that he is hungry for one last shot. It would be truly epic ending if he should win on Angliru.
