Pull before the last 2 kilometres, maybe.... christ, you don't get these opportunities every day, but for some reason they only figured that out in the end when Froome got dangerously close.
Have we watched different stages? Because Bahrain definitely was pulling long before 2 kms to go...
Im talking about Nibali and I explicitly said that pretty much only Pellizotti (Bahrain) and Bilbao (Astana) were pulling. He only went to the front in the very end along with Kelderman, Zakarin etc etc. He obviously should have done from from the very start.
Nibali was definitely pulling too. He got in front of the pack right after Sky dropped behind to help Froome.

Contador sure is collecting his fair amount of attack tokens this Vuelta, true legend of this sport. Who knows what's possible. I'm still holding out for a stage win and anything else is a bonus.
He doesn't have the legs for a stage win Im afraid, but he is a master at these efforts. The hard mountain stages zaps him too much these days unfortunately, he has no finishing ability and Froome is still better than him on the muritos. La Pandera is his best opportunity in my opinion.
He'll need to be really lucky of course. Legwise, I think he will still have some chances. Who knows if he fit'll be enough. Guy has never been a stage hunter in his career, usually just cared about the GC. Maybe even with all his experience, he still lacks that instinct to get a stage win when the odds are against you.

That confirms Shonak's post, he's both a douche AND special.

Belkov's not going to take further steps because of this.

Marczynski seems a bit suspicious to me.
Never really had great results in top level races/classics so far and now with the end of his contract at a Protour-team he suddenly delivers big and wins in dominant fashion.
To his defence, he was not in particularly good breakaway groups and may be just in a good shape compared to tired riders after an exhausting season.
But it irritates me pretty often to see riders without a contract suddenly go boom at la Vuelta after being at best mediocre the whole year before. |

Yeah. But more irritating is Moscon who catches guys like Nibali or Contador without any problems

You always told me how you love them and that Kirchen_75 is your 2nd account, so that you don't have to admit it openly.
