What a pathetic display by the rest of the contenders today, especially Nibali, only figured out to work properly together in the last kilometre. Oh well. |

Fuck was he supposed to do? Bahrain was literally the only team pulling along with Astana.

Contador sure is collecting his fair amount of attack tokens this Vuelta, true legend of this sport. Who knows what's possible. I'm still holding out for a stage win and anything else is a bonus.

Pull before the last 2 kilometres, maybe.... christ, you don't get these opportunities every day, but for some reason they only figured that out in the end when Froome got dangerously close.
Gotta catch these opportunities man and Nibali is always doing that, but for some reason was content with Bilbao and Pelli leading the group for the majority of the way. As I said, disappointing. |

He doesn't have the legs for a stage win Im afraid, but he is a master at these efforts. The hard mountain stages zaps him too much these days unfortunately, he has no finishing ability and Froome is still better than him on the muritos. La Pandera is his best opportunity in my opinion. |

Have we watched different stages? Because Bahrain definitely was pulling long before 2 kms to go...

Im talking about Nibali and I explicitly said that pretty much only Pellizotti (Bahrain) and Bilbao (Astana) were pulling. He only went to the front in the very end along with Kelderman, Zakarin etc etc. He obviously should have done from from the very start. |

Maybe you are right, I didn't see that, but way to defensive for my liking. Especially because I expected Nibali to jump at any opportunity - should have been 30 seconds more in my opinion had he animated the rest of the group. |
