As a Jazz fan it's kind of satisfying that Hayward won't be able to play with his boy Isiah and that Boston got the worse end of that deal

I don't really think that Boston lose so much with this trade.

They lose two expirings, and Thomas was going to ask for a max contract, and Boston couldn't afford it (that's why they traded before Bradley), and they get a better player than Thomas (at least a player who can play in both sides, not only attack) who still has 2 years of contract. Maybe that pick was too much, but that pick would end up in Boston's bench, so better for that future pick 1-4 (Nets doesn't seem to have improved enough)

Have you seen Kyrie defend? I haven't. Because he don't

Thomas, the midget, dont play that much defence either.

Cleveland desperately needed a wing defender who can guard Durant while LeBum is off the court. And they got just that in Crowder

For me, Boston is the winner of this trade most likely. Isiah is a good player, but not a superstar. Plus his height disadvantage will hurt him more and more getting older and tackling injuries. His payday wouldn't have been worth it. For him they got a superstar in Kyrie Irving, who has at least the potential to develop a defense less lackluster than it is currently, and an offensive superstar for at least another five years.

Giving up Crowder would've hurt every team in the league more than the Celtics, because his spot is crowded with Tatum, Hayward and Brown.

Zizic is a prospect for becoming a Top 10 center in the league, but they have one in Horford already, who would've used up most of the minutes Zizic needs to develop. That said, Ante won't see much more at the Cavs, so I see him more as a...

...trade chip, which also is the Brooklyn pick. If James stays, then the Brooklyn pick will be used together with Zizic and Osman for further acquirations. Brooklyn will almost certainly not be one of the Low 5 teams, because they don't need to. Even playoffs in the east is possible with their stacked roster, so I see that pick somewhere between P8-17. Nothing the Cs should cry about, when they get an offensive superstar for yours for that.

For me it is a high price, but very much worth the gamble. The Cavs have to decide now whether they have a mediocre rebuild or an all in trade with those new assets.

Irving has 3 years left on his deal, not 5. And he said himself that it probably is a 3 year rental, because he is headed elsewhere in FA. Right now teams should look further ahead and rather stack on picks, because the C's are probably not going to get by the Cavs and even if they are, the Warriors will crush everybody. In my opinion it would have been smarter to hold on to that pick and build up for a time after bay domination

Horford is the last C I'd want in my team when he can't even rebound constantly on the level he should have for a max contract. Especially in a team like Boston now that won't need a lot of additional ball handling in the starting 5 with Irving. Zizic would have been a lot better to keep and have him grow next to Horford.

He has 2 years, not 3. And Celtics won that trade i think. Cavs will loose LeBron next summer, im certain of it. He is heading to the Kincks or the Lakers, as he is becomming more of a Mogul by the years. Klay is a FA next summer aswell is he not? So the Warriors total dominance is most likely over then, if you can get LeBron and Klay to the Lakers with Lonzo? And maybe even Paul George, then you have a legit contender.

It's hard to compete with the Warrios right now, so gaining tradeable assets right now seems to be the best "long term" option imo.

Fantasy basketball right here Pfft No way all of those moves will happen in just one summer, especially when the Lakers still need to free up Deng's contract.

Klay Thompson becomes a free agent in 2019, same year as Irving, as both are from the same Draft Class (2011)

Well, Klay is not a FA until 2019, so LeBron and George to the Lakers then. As there is allways a dumb team willing to be scammed, they will managed to get rid of the Deng contract

Yeah that was disgusting and very bad luck. To land that way must have sent a shock of pain up your body as well as a wave of emotions wondering how long you will be out of action.

There is about a 75% chance at the moment he is out for the season, but there is a slim chance he could return in the playoffs in April. Still some tests to be done yet.

Well, I have been away from school the last few days just to watch the only decent Australian player in the NBA, albeit in his rookie year and he certainly hasn't disappointed. Averaging a double-double, and a triple-double in his last game confirm the potential he has touted to have and am so happy being really the only credible Australian in the league beside Patty and Delly.

Ben even has a chance of getting an all-star appearance if he increases his points average a bit considering the Eastern Conference depth (not very good), coupled with the fact that he can play all positions providing more opportunities.

ROTY is perhaps looking likely and maybe even a playoff appearance if Embiid doesn't get injured.

I'm sorry, but you must be mistaken. Clearly the best australian player is Joe Ingles.

He genuinely had one good game, but I guess he is doing better this year. Might I add Simmons is averaging more points, rebounds and assists so don't know where you're going with that. Further re-iterating that he has played 4 games and already has a triple-double.
