PCM.daily Stats Discussion
HMNE
On swiss tv the expert repeatedly mentioned that Stefan Küng has always been an excellent descender. Eventough the expert may be a little bit biased, I think that 68 is too low. I don't know how exactly you determine the descending stat, personally I would give him a stat somewhere in the mid 70's. If that's too much, I would love to see a 70+ stat at least.

I would say Uran certainly deserves an upgrade.

Urán Mountain 80??

I wonder if Valverde were in this Tour??? Maybe he will be in Top 5???

Martii_Scots01
Can we drop Bardet's TT please, it is far too overrated based on today, probably better being around mid-60s given his abysmal performances recently.

And Kwiatkowski mountain?? 77 maybe fine??

I think we have to boost every stat for ebh, even mountains, but maybe not cobbles

even mountains? he mostly got dropped before Bouhanni on the climbs...

How much do you know about cycling? seriously...
EBH became the sprinter in dimension data after cavendish crashed. The thing about sprinters, is that we never actually see how good they are in the mountains. They have to save their powers to the flat stages. This counts for EBH too, but not when cavendish is back. EBH isnt bad in TT just because he didnt perform in the tt today, he is a sprinter, and had to save as much as possible for Champs-Élysées, same for teammates like kwiatkowski, in the early tt's, but when there arent any thing to do for chris froome he can do as good as possible

That's why I compared a sprinter to a sprinter, duh.

Yeah, but when, youre in your careerand cavendish dosent crash i dont think its realistic that ebh crosses the line with bouhanni

I don't see why he should have more than 73-74. In PCM terms, it's like Kwiato is pulling at dot 85 for a long time, but he ends without energy far for the end

The Tour is the "biggest scale" you can review anyone in. Every race should be taken into account and especially three week races But by looking at the "bigger scale" we already know Quintana don't deserve 78 in mountains which is basically all he proved but we look at his earlier work...Also everyone know to take into account of injuries and whether they rode the Giro but it's safe to say allot of riders deserve upgrades so i wonder what scale you are talking about?

The Tour is the perfect window to put riders head to head: example EBH proved to be near Matthews in sprinting abilities (I would say better with lower ACC, he crushed him several times). Uran proved to be on the level of Bardet so he deserved an upgrade for sure when we know he can perform this. Calmejane and Kwiat definitly deserving one too.

EBH. URAN
AG2R La Mondiale / Issy Paris Hand / Le Havre AC

Kwiatkoski 73/74??? I think 75/76 would be better

About Differdange - Losch :

Krisztian Lovassy deserves a bit more in TT and PR, at least 63-64 TT/66-67 PR in my opinion.

Tom Vermeer is better than 63 SP, 65-66 could be fine.

Tom Thill deserves one point more in MO and HIL, so 65 MO and 67 HIL. He made a great Sibiu Cycling Tour in 2015. However, he seems to be weaker this year.

For Raileanu and Rusnac :

Cristian Raileanu (Differdange) needs 67-68 MO, it was a good surprise during Sibiu. The same for his teammate Maxim Rusnac, who deserves at least 65-66 MO. Respectively 6th and 10th overall.

And, eventually, 68 HIL for Raileanu and 66 HIL for Rusnac.

Balázs Rózsa needs something like 62-63 MO and 65-66 SP.

Larry Valvasori deserves around 61-62 MO and 63-64 VAL because of his Flèche Ardennaise, maybe more, but he's young and can confirm later. Anyway, Nicolai Brøchner (Riwal) may deserve more than 62 HIL, what about 65 ?

Jelle Donders could have a little buff in PR, maybe 64 or 65.

Mike Diener made a decent TT during his national championship. 65-66 TT/64-65 PR won't be too much.

Ivan Centrone also deserves a boost in TT and PR, 64 TT and 65 PR maybe.

Cedric Raymackers could have 64-65 BAR.

Jan Petelin is from Luxembourg and not from Italia. He also deserves a little upgrade in SP and HIL, maybe one point more in each.

Can ask I you why you believe that tdF is a bigger scale to evaluate a rider's skillset in, than lets say Giro or Vuelta? Both the Giro and Vuelta has more challenging routes and a lot harder stages that theoretically should serve as a better scale to evaluate riders in?

Mathias Frank 76 mountain ? Come on... at least 77...

He has the Tour Suisse in his fav races list but I do agree he is nearer 77 than 76 based on the last week. Like Fuglsang if he does well at the Tour he will certainly go up and I'll mark that in his stat notes

So Frank 76 or 77 you think ?

Yes and I think that Gilbert with 76 in flat, 79 in hills and 77 in cobbles he can win this race in the game.

I would change my opinion if he finish in Top10 in Paris-Roubaix

I think with 77 like Kwiatkowski its enough

He can't win with these stats in game. He doesn't even stand a chance against GVA and Sagan.

Does the new DB has the 2017 national champions or only stats changes?

matt17br
Only stat and potential changes. A second db with 2017 national champions will be available in the upcoming Expansion Pack.
