Trentin to immediately lead Orica in classics is nice, they lacked someone competitive there
Durbridge showed potential to be a pretty good classics leader, once he has some more experience he might even be a shot at Roubaix (with some luck). I do agree that it'd be great for them to have Trentin though.

Does anybody know if Bertie will continue with Trek?
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Not yet has been decided I think. He probably has the option for 2018, but he hasn't decided yet. I think he'll probably either decide at the end of this Tour or midway through the Vuelta. |

It must be pretty hard decision-making especially if he has got a big blow about his form at this Tour. But if he really knows somewhere in the depth of his soul that he has done everything right and beside of that he is not there he must admitt to himself that he does not have it any more and should not go for that 2018 option even though he will be greatly missed.

Is yet to be announced, but Contador will continue 1 more year with Trek, and he will ride Giro next season instead of Tour

Hmm I wouldnt say that about Giro because as far sa I know he has played down reports that he will target the Giro d'Italia in 2018.

The opposite. He keeps saying it's the Giro next year. |

Hi mate
I´m sorrry, but I cannot tell my sources in public forums.
I can say that Aru will get salary of 3,5 - 3,7 million US-Dollars per year, so around 3 Million Euros. UAE can pay that amount. Look at the same situation of Nibali at Bahrain.
Nikias Arndt´s contract is renewed. He stays 3 years further at Sunweb. I am german and I´m lucky about that. His peformance in last weeks was grandious.

Astana trying to build a team for a class sprinter next year. (80% sure it's Kristoff) Cort Nielsen on the way in. I guess that make sense with Trentin going to Orica.

I understand that, was just wondering if you had any articles etc. on it since I hadn't seen any news on any sites about so far, keeping sources confidential is important.

UAE has so much money, 30 mio I read somewhere. What they need is a top rider like Aru bc this season has been awful. Sure its a lot of cash but they are desperate imo

The 30 million investment was mentioned on Danish TV, think the original media was Cyclingweekly.

Nik Arndt's signing goes along with Max Walscheid staying too. On other terms, Sunweb's contract with Barguil, going until 2018, might be terminated as several teams are interested in him and the team confirmed that they don't want to hold any rider up.
In other terms: liveradsport.ch, a very reliable Suisse source for transfers, announced in their ticker that both Fabio Aru and Daniel Martin have signed with UAE - Abu Dhabi for next season!

Kwiatkowski signed extension with Sky till 2020. He's practically best buddies with Froome so no surprise. |
