I like Bardet so I'd rather everyone gets nothing (and that's what's deserved) but this is a shambles The fact that the UCI can apparently say when Uran did it it's not OK to take it from anyone though it obviously is and then when asked about Bardet it's OK because it wasn't a team member, ignoring the fact that Bennett and in the end actually Uran as well took it from spectators not team staff is plain wrong and bias (I know you can't expect much but this sucks )
he took it at exact the same moment as Bennett lol. Can't take the Tour seriously if they let this go
They should have punished none ofthem or all of them. Not just random

Yep exactly
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

The UCI/ASO wants and needs a french rider to do well. It would not be good for a French rider to be docked 20 seconds and lose the stage win. Cycling will never be taken seriously when stuff like this keeps happening all the time. |

this starting to make me mad eather. Fuck you french!
Bohanni kick would have kicked out for tour any other nationality.
Kiwi and Columbian getting 20 sec. penalty and frenchman don't
What a fuck.
It remembers me Giro history..where all another nationality riders where like living hell how jury ..people beside roads all did fight against them...just to favor italians. |

Bardet wasn't losing his stage win even he had been penalized

Ok, so it would just have been a GC time penalty not a stage time penalty as well? Good to know thanks. |

You already cant take it seriously after stage 4, with all that Sagan-Cav-Demare drama...this is just another part of same shit...
Anyway, great to see an open race and some inner SKY drama, go go Aru!

I still think it's Froome's to lose. I'd say Bardet and Aru will need potentially 1.30 minutes over Froome in the last tt. Only really stage 18 now where any really significant time gaps will be made.
I think Astana will strggle to control the race for Aru through the mountains without Fuglsang and Aru could be left isolated in todays stage.

Agree. Definitely at least 1 minute before that TT. But Contador and maybe Quintana could somehow help Aru or Bardet with their tactics. I think Contador certainly does not want to Froome to win next TDF

Contador has his own problems, like staying on bike, or not looking like a fool who should have end the carrer already.

I'd love it if Sagan wouldn't return to the Tour. Saying like: f the Tour, I'm gonna see what that Giro's about and get a record Points Jerseys there instead.

I didn't watch cycling back then, but looking back at some archive footage, I get the feeling this Skytrain thing is even worse than Us Postal. I mean I see Armstrong actually attacking, not from 200 m from the finish. There seems to be animo in these races.
Or am I mistaken, seeing things out of context? |

No Ian, you are right.
With the Armstrong / Postal train, it was them working up until the first kilometers of the final climb, and then Armstrong himself would attack.
With Froome, in the beginning they did the same (2013), now, they keep riding (especially the last man) right until the finish. First with Porte, then when he left it was Poels, and this year it's Landa.
So it becomes even more boring than the US Postal train. |

Is it confirmed? Vaughters was complaining about it. Bardet took it in the same place as Uran so I think thats a right think. Jury was probably under big fire. Its good that they cancelled it. Especially for Uran

Team Sky have been the ultimate killjoy ever since they entered the sport. Their tactics are boring and predictable, but there's not much to do about it since they have the strongest riders (and arguably the best preparation and materials). |

back to three seconds off of Quintana for Bennett too Justice really and hopefully a sharpish message to jury though I doubt it.
